Hey boys and girls!
Farnborough Air Show is almost upon us, so I decided to start this thread about a possible a.nutters meet at the show.
As we all know the show runs on Saturday 22 and Sunday 23 of July, I will be there on the saturday with some friends, so I hope to see some of you there!
More info on Farnborough Air Show can be found here

I'll hopefully be there on the Sunday, with my parents, but don't know if I can meet up.

Someone at church gave me tickets--for both a public day and a trade day!
For the public show, I plan to go on Saturday all day. I haven't chosen which weekday I want to use my trade ticket on yet. As I'm doing a summer lab research project at Guy's Hospital (for which I won a grant), I would need to ask for one day off that week so I could take advantage of my unexpected trade ticket.

There's going to be many more, I remember talking about this with Ian, DL021, in Paris last year. Should be a laugh. Sadly Aerobalance can't make it as he has lab duties to attend to!
*Edit* Thought I'd add Smithair to the list as well!

I was really looking forward to going, but sadly I will not be able to attened as I'm going to Nigeria to collect the $20million that my great uncle Cuthbert left me in his will.
Have fun everyone - hope the weather is as good as it was last time.

Ahem... Contrary to Alex's opinion that the work at my lab prevents me from having a real life, I must say that me and my g/f will be at Farnborough for at least the Friday trade day. I need to aclimatize her into the aviation world and meeting a bunch of a.nutters is the worst way to do it

I'll be in MUC over that time, so a trip to Farnborough shouldn't be out of the question. Any cheap LCCs that would fit the bill?

Quoting Planesarecool (Reply 19): Not sure about your dates, but i found $914 on Mytravel, arriving at Gatwick on July 17th, departing July 28th. Their A330's are a pretty good ride
Thanks for your research.
Unfortunately, if i were to go it would be just for the weekend, 2 nights tops. The dates that i looked into were the actual show dates. And yes the 330 would be a good ride.

Hey Andy, if your going to travel all the way from downtown YOO to go to Farnborough, I might have to see if I can talk the accountant into letting me go too!

Is my Pan Am ticket to the moon still good?
25 Kazzie: could make it LHR if u wanted... then FAB on Sat
26 MIAspotter: Friday is not a public day in FAB, just for business and press sort off. I was checking the website and on the static display will be: A380 A340 A319
28 Sean377: I'd need a hotel on the Friday night. Any recommendations? Sean
29 Planesarecool: I'll be there, but its not a public day so unless you got tickets from elsewhere, you won't be able to get in. Here's a couple: http://www.milford.co
