The Russian Embassy officially uses another address than the one you've shown. However, it is the same location, just the opposite side of the building.
The subway system (Metro) does not have any stops near this embassy.

Yea, I realized that after I posted. I do need the consulate, which in the Tunlaw address.
Quoting RJpieces (Reply 2): Taking the Metro from DCA is the easiest rail connection at any airport in the United States...Perhaps you should go to your hotel before the Embassy?
It's just gonna be a quick trip up there, day at the most if I can find someone to go along w/ me.

Quoting B777-700 (Reply 5): That's cool. There's no metro stops w/in walking distance huh?
It is possible to take the Metro (yellow line) from DCA to the National Archives station and then transfer onto a bus (also owned by Metro). It takes 58 minutes to do this and costs much less than a taxi.
Go to the website below and enter "DCA" as the from address, and "2650 WISCONSIN AVE NW" as the to address. Enter your travel date and times, and you'll get the correct schedule.
The Metro station at DCA is within the terminal itself. Very easy to use.

Quoting Halls120 (Reply 7): Unless you are going somewhere outside DC, I wouldn't rent a car. Parking is a pain in the *ss in DC, and it isn't cheap. DC cabs are pretty good.
Haha thanks man. Hey if you're available Friday and wanna shoot this shit about our favorite topics (politics, Delta ;o) over a beer, lemme know!

Yeah, unfortunatly, that's one of the few places that's really not near a metro station. The embassy itself is for all intents and purposes on Wisconsin Ave. The cheapest way to get there would be to take the metro blue line to Rosslyn, then pay $1 to get on the "Georgetown Metro Connection" bus (it's a small blue bus). Take the Wisconsin ave line. The last stop on this line is about a 5-10 minute walk from the embassy. The whole trip would take about 35 minutes if its not rush hour.
After saying all that, however, I'd spend the money for a cab.
