Now before you all start jumping all over me.... my suggestion is to clear out a 50 mile area just west of the Iranian border. Send out tons of leaflets and let everyone know where they can safely watch the 'fireworks' from. After the demonstration, carpet bomb the region with more flyers warning that the demonstration will be much more up close and personal next time.

Quoting Bofredrik (Reply 5): US soldiers, GO HOME! That is one answer.
Which will result in intensivated killing of civilians. The vast majority of civilians are killed by islamist/sarkawi bandits, not by US soldiers.
But I suppose that keeping a neutral (Swedish) path, just passively looking at the cruelties of the world and feel good about that kind of "peace" is better than saving innocent peoples lives?

Instead of 1400 murders a month in Baghdad, there would be like 5000 if/when US forces left.
If you think the killing would stop by withdrawing US soldiers, you're crazy. It would be much, much worse.
..., but maybe that's what needs to happen; settle their scores and decide who's top dog by killing each other off in droves. Maybe a few million dead Iraqis would convince them to get along. Then again maybe not.

The spell check suggested intensified instead. Don't know why it wasn't corrected. Anyway, I'm teribbly sorry for the misspelling. I'm hope I haven't ruined your life. If you can't live with it, let's write in Danish, eh?

Quoting Scbriml (Thread starter): deaths in Baghdad have reached 6000 already this year.
So sad, probably half of them are civilians not part of the war, just like you and I - I wish this would stop, too many innocent people being killed for the sake of politics. I wish that we could all live in harmony, those all over the world, STop this bloodshed, live life to the full without this threat.

I´m Swedish-Estonian, Kurds live in the North, Shia´s live in the South, Sunni´s live in the middle, a perfect split I say. Only Halliburton supporters that want
this mess to continue, very good biz for those individuals.
