After a very Quiet 2 years... My boys are about to offload big time....
With only 3 weeks left until the New Album Blackholes and Revelations Muse have started to play warm up gigs, Realised Studio versions of some new stuff and played some Live at Dundee and TRL Italy......
Im getting very Excited now.. This is going to be massive..
For the first Time, The Bassist of the Band, Chris Has written his own song, I for one can't wait to hear his composition skills.. i dont know How far a drift they will be from Bellamys, But only time will tell!
So Far Fans have been lucky enough to hear 4 New songs which are:
Supermassive Black Hole
Map Of The Problematique
Starlight
Knights of Cydonia
Many rated SMBH as a let down for muse, but once preformed live, we was screaming, fantastical done!
For some New songs, Preformed both Live and in Play back in good sound a resolution see:
Bellamy Stressed to fans this year that there will be some difference in the new album, some new areas visited, including Trumpets... Today We got to hear these Trumpets in action in Knights of Cydonia Blended very Well And I have to say, this song makes me fall faster than a A340 on decent, There is a complete change of direction in this song, there are musey parts and new parts... I didn't think this band could do it again after 3 albums but they have!
For the Studio version of Knights of Cydonia (in Trumpets!) click:
The Bands Drummer Dominic and been congratulated by fans for recolonisation of his increased skills in drumming, From whats been heard he has improved since passed albums and has some awesome techniques!, Just have a listen to Map Of The Problematique...
Muse have also Welcomed Morgan, Morgan Will now be helping with Keyboard during live performances, As a side stage, He has preformed with Muse at TRL and so far has done a good job, But I stress, he is not an Official Band member..
Artwork For the New Album has been released also to the public... here it is, pretty Strange!
And the Artwork for Super Massive Blackhole single...
(I think they are on Mushrooms again...)
On the note of Supermassive Blackhole the Video is now Out! As strange as it is... Very Disturbing to see Bellamy in Eye Shadow.... Going for the Billie Joel Look?
So July 3rd Is the big day for the New Album, The track list is as follows:
1. Take A Bow
2. Starlight (3'59)
3. Supermassive Black Hole (3'32)

Interesting side note: this exact phrase was uttered just before the last A.net Self-Pics Meet.

Woo, Muse playing Edinburgh, amazing.
From what I've heard so far, this new album is going to to have a hard time trying to prove to me it is better than Absolution.
But their new songs are growing on me, and the drumming in Map of the Problematique is particularly good!

Absolution was amazing, Every track had something meaningful From Hysteria to Ruled By secery...
I'. still in suspense with the new album, Will the rest of the tracks top past tracks? will they not be as good, Has muse produced the best they can or will they show us up again, like with Absolution...
So far.. so good but to top Absolution.. Ill be surprised if they do..

These threads remind me of my obsession with Guns'n Roses when I was 18...
and with hendrix a bit later, and then Pink Floyd a bit later..
Now at 31, music still affects me the same. But I can't really love a particular band that passionately. The passion is also gone in some other things too.. aging
