There's a (small) craze, apparently, where you set a slow shutter speed and throw your camera spinning in the air. If the lighting's right you can get some "cool" results.

Let's see the facts...it's a car race, no one else is in the road, all other photographers are off the road, cars are going by at high speed and some "gotta-get-the-best-photo-before-someone-else-does-it'll-make-me-money-I-know(lightbulb flashes inside his head)-I'll-stand-in-the-way-and-get-my-shot" dork gets nailed by one of the cars.

Is it just me or was that funny. It never ceases to amaze me the stupid shit people do.

I bet you could get some cool results if you handed your camera to a monkey and let it run around all day with it. I think this is for the photographers who can't manage to take good shots normally.

I suspect an endoscope would be more appropriate but I get your point. I'm sure it's a great idea for a few photos but making a career out of it..?

I'd probably give the "camera toss" thing a go if I had money to spare to buy a replacement body and lens when I failed to catch it... and a replacement window. Oh, and probably the sunroof on my car below the window.
