I thought that this could be a tribute thread for Jetjack74's pet rock.

I'm sure, as he has grieved and come to terms with his loss, that many more peaceful memories have surfaced of his beloved pet rock. I offer this thread as a place for you, Jetjack74, to share those memories with us.

I don't think I'm alone in saying that I grieved with you. We've all had pet rocks that we've lost. No more do we sing "Rockabye, Baby."

Pet Rock~2005
My Pet Rock Died Yesterday (by Jetjack74 Jun 14 2005 in Non Aviation)

Sitting in my hand we would cuddle together
His weight, I might add was not that of a feather
He would sit so still and not make a sound
Sitting in my hand, so heavy and so round

When I think of my loss, I begin to tremble
How much I miss my sweet little pebble
His absence I will grieve as I wander and roam
My precious, my sweet, my gentle little stone

But onward I shall press in this world of change
Always remembering from whence he came
Back to the bottom of the lake he has gone
My precious, my sweet, my gentle little stone.

I'm one up on that....I've got my Pet Rock in cryogenic suspension until they can cure it's clogged arteries.....

it's in the freezer of my mother's house where it's been since I hid it from the brother I stole it from 20 years ago....that old fridge is out in the garage and still works. I was cleaning it out last week and found the rock....put it back so as not to lose the integrity of the suspension....

Is my Pan Am ticket to the moon still good?

Would someone be so kind as to point me in the right direction for the next spaceship off this planet? I'm not sure I can take any more of this!!!  wideeyed
