Togo 1-0 Swiss
Saudi 0-3 Ukraine
Spain 3-0 Tunisia

I don't actually think Togo will win tomorrow, but i have a bet on them so i have to keep faith  Wink. I reckon we'll beat France though, they look average at best.

So you think it is worth to watch this game?

Damn, I won't do that! I predict that it will be the most boring game of all!

Will you watch the Cleveland Browns and the Detroit Lions on Sunday? Only if coach Eric Mangini resigned after a loss.

TOG 0 - 1 SUI Let's hope Togolese turn up to play.
KSA 0 - 2 UKR
ESP 2 - 0 TUN

KSA/TUN was a great game last round - a real surprise package - but I'm not sure that either are up to the standards of Spaine and Ukraine.

True, but needless to say, if they show up and experience yet another National Anthem fiasco like in the last game, then I fear they'll walk out again. Plus I don't know why Otto Pfister still bothers with the Togolese Federation, after saying that he will pursue legal action against the Togolese official who accused him of being an Alcoholic.

I was never good at predictions, but here goes:

TOG 1X2 SUI
KSA 1X1 UKR
ESP 2X1 TUN

I thought that Togo's internal dispute had ended, so they still might not show up?
That would be a first, and a shame because they play well.

I dont know the key to success, but the key to failure is trying to please everyone

It would be a real shame, but if the Federation can't get its act together, then Switzerland would probably win through a forfeit.

It is not over really. Today FIFA had a "chat" with the players and they were told about "dire and serious consequences" if they do not show up. I'll stop short of saying they were threatened, but it certainly must not have been a friendly conversation. So FIFA is making sure they'll show up. If they show up, will they do anything on the field?

At the same time FIFA and the Togolese federation are "talking".

The way I see it, the players face the same issue:

If they don't show up, each of them will probably be banned, from playing within any league under FIFA's umbrella, if not for life, then for a long time. That basically is a career ending proposition. Unless they go an play God knows where.

The Togolese Federation is sure going to be more than reprimanded. I don't know if it can actually be expelled, but surely it will be banned from tournaments or even not recognized for a good amount of time. So Togolese players will not be recognized by FIFA, since their Federation is banned. Also career ending proposition for players.

Both end up screwing up the players, to the same degree. So, what incentive do they have to show up?

25 Sabena332 : The weather here sucks at the moment, it is terrible humid with thunderstorms from time to time, I hope that it will get better when the game begins.
26 Skyman : No I think UKR has a lot to make good for so they will fight and score. KSA... I don't know. I mean ok they tied TUN, but to use a German phrase: Das

30 HBDAN : That was not, just my opinion (also if maybe not too neutral)! But swiss are playing very bad, at least from the goal until the end of the period...
31 Mke717spotter : For some reason its summer now and I always wake up around 9-10AM CDT so I've usually missed most of the action from the first game. Anyways 1-0 lead
32 Mke717spotter : GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLLLLL!!!!!!! And a 2-0 lead for the swiss puts this one away! It was a great shot to.
33 RJ100 : I'm glad for Switzerland. Sorry to see Togo leaving the tournament though. Nice team, good players. Definitely an attraction. My respect goes to Togo
34 Post contains images Skyman : GOAL 1 - 0 for Ukraine. What a stupid action by the KSA goalie. See Sabena told you.
35 Post contains images LSPA : told ya wohoo..my city is going nuts!!
36 Bravo45 : KSA players were visibly 'down' from the second the game started. Then the keeper gave away the corner and I noticed *twice* on both first two corners
37 Skyman : They are rookies. Maybe not kids but rookies.
38 Post contains links Bravo45 : Quoting Skyman (Reply 37): Maybe not kids but rookies. I am not familiar with the individual KSA players but they have a long history of being a force
39 Skyman : 3 - 0 for UKR. At least I hope so. All KSA players play in their own league, which also is not very strong.
40 Post contains images Skyman : Ops 2 - 0 now for UKR. Maybe my tip wasn`t high enough. The goalie didn`t look very good their again.
41 Sabena332 : My prediction was wrong, nice game actually. Patrick
42 Bravo45 : Another UKR GOAL!!!!!!!!!!! It was a great shot no doubt about that but the defence is guilty of making that possibility. Things getting hopeless for

44 Skyman : Wow what a mistake by the KSA defender. Almost the 3 - 0
45 Bravo45 : Okay the quicker the match ends the lesser the KSA will be butchered. Is the rain their kryptonite?? UKR 3 KSA 0 Two sudden good attacks by KSA... Loo
46 Skyman : Just ten more min. Looks like 3 points for me Sabena. What about you? The Ukraine also desrved to win and having a chance to advance to the next round
47 Bravo45 : Beautiful move and a very deserving goal. Those were proably the most exciting moments of this game.
48 Post contains images Skyman : arggh there goes my tip. But a very nice goal indeed. 4 - 0 for UKR.
49 Pilotaydin : Tunus GOOOOOOOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
50 NIKV69 : What an extremely fast paced game, Tunisia is playing hard. Great game though Jason Whitebird can't be happy.
51 TheSonntag : I am back from Togo - Switzerland. What a game. The atmosphere in the stadium cannot be described... I will give you a Trip report soon... The victory
52 Sabena332 : Ole Espana! That was a lesson how to score against a team with a defense like a brick-wall, awesome! Patrick
53 Bravo45 : Jeez!! That is called a set piece!! Beautiful goal by Raul, all 3-4 players served a purpose in the move. Tough luck Tunisia, hope they can hold out a

58 Post contains images LTU932 : YES!!!! YES!!!! Viva España! Although I agree that Tunisia has also played an excellent match.

61 Mke717spotter : 3-1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
62 Post contains images LTU932 : Wow! There goes my score prediction again. 3:1 for Spain.
63 NIKV69 : What a turnaround, great effort by Spain.
64 LTU932 : That was really a great game! Fast paced and with lots of action. Congrats to both Spain and Tunisia.
65 Post contains images Sabena332 : Geeee...... again three points for you! I am not sure but I think that my bet was also 3:1, if it is indeed, then I have earned 5 points alltogether

67 Carmenlu15 : 3 - 1? I didn't see that coming... Anyway, congratulations for Spain!
