1996-1997: 1985 Ford Tempo (bought for $1000, junked for $35)
1997-2001: 1985 Honda Civic CRX (bought for $1500, sold for $400)

1. 1961 Chevrolet Impala Sport Sedan, 348 Turbo Thrust, w/ Turboglide (yes, Turboglide) Transmission

2. 1968 Plymouth Fury III (old woman's car)

3. 1969 Renault 10 (got wrecked)

4. 1971 Renault 10 (what can I say, I'm a glutton for punishment- this one threw a rod in upstate New York, and I sold it to a counterman at an auto parts store for $10.00, sight unseen)

5. 1974 Chevy Vega (bought for $200.00 needing an engine, put in a $300.00 engine myself, sold it two years later, needing and engine, for $750.00 - good deal)

6. 1969 Chevrolet Caprice Sedan- a real sleeper, had the 10.25:1 350 300hp, fast and looked like a granny's car.

7. 1973 Ford F-100 pickup, small six, three on the tree, no air, a fine truck, wish I still had it

8. 1974 Honda Civic- bought for a good price with low miles, what a piece of crap. It never ran for two weeks without breaking.

9. 1980 Chevrolet Citation- company car, utter scrap metal

10. 1983 Ford LTD- company car, the most perfect car I ever had, you could not kill it

11. 1986 Ford LTD- replaced the '83, newer, but never as nice as the '83, ironically enough

12. 1976 Cadillac Flletwood Eldorado Cabriolet (convertible)- bought it when I moved and no lon ger had self-replacing company cars; I still have this one in the garage.

13. 1982 Audi 4000- rock solid

14. 1989 Jeep Cherokee- good buggy, tough, a little... primitive

15. 1993 Audi 100S- Loved it, but it got wrecked about 1.5 months ago (sad)... and

16. 2001 Cadillac deVille- so far (1500 miles) so good.

Scutler:
You're not old at all. Here is my list:

1. 1974 Ford Pinto in 1990 my first car
Ran on regular gasoline.

2. 1980 VW Dasher diesel stationwagon. My senior english teacher gave this to me. 50mph and exempt from emissions standards.

3. 1976 Mercury Cougar XR-7. This car had been through hell and back and still ran.

4. 1977 Lincoln Town Coupe. This is whare the love affair with Lincoln all started. The most beautiful car I've ever owned.

5. 1974 Lincoln Mark IV. This battleship was the fastest car I've owned. 460cu" 4bbl. and NO catalytic converters.

6. 1978 Mark V. Golden beauty.

7. 1987 Chrysler LeBaron Convertible. I still have this beautiful piece of $hit. This car is in mint condition yet it is the most un-reliable car I've ever owned.

8. 1977 Lincoln Town Car. The most reliable car I've ever owned.

Financial conditions of being a broke college student led me to sell the cars I've owned in the past. The VW was the only car that officially died on me. The others I've sold.

Check out all the older vehicles (circa 1970's) in this interesting shot of a Republic DC-9 (another antique!).....
Anybody own one of these Classics? ..............

P.S. ..... Note the Southwest 737 in the shot. Its livery sure hasn't changed much [if at all] in nearly 20 years.

1983 Rover 3500 V8 Vanden Plas sold (1994)
1987 Citroën CX 25 GTi Turbo 2 (still have)
1992 Honda Civic 160i (still have)

The cars appear in year model order - they have not been owned in the same order. I don't have anything reasonably new because my capital has been invested in a house and a new business. Perhaps next year I will ditch my two Citroëns and the Honda and replace those three with something newer.
