Methinks they're much sooner going home than scoring that high! A victory is likely, but 4:0?!?

ehehehe... and methinks sometimes the best games are played when the usual team is not on the field. With Mr. Scolari leaving 5 yellow-carded players on the bench, and giving the oportunity to less used talent, well we might just get lucky and see a memorable game. Enough for 4-0? Seriously no, but one can dream, can we not? Big grin

Just came home from cologne... What an atmosphere at the public viewing... A fair draw, and the whole city is full of English fans...

"Three world cups and England just got one"  Wink

But it was a cool, peaceful atmosphere... My bets for tomorrow:

POR-MEX 3:1
Iran - Angola 2:2
CIV - S+MO 1:3

Heck, we could be out as soon as tomorrow.  scared  A major drawback, not having been eliminated in the first round for 4 straight World Cups(1986, 1990(banned), 1994, 1998, 2002). Go MEXICO!!!!!!

The Netherlands - Argentina match is a must-see tomorrow!

Don't expect to see me around that much (if at all) -- the contact link should still work, though.

Portugal 1 - 1 Mexico
Iran 0 - 2 Angola
Côte d'Ivoire 1 - 1 Serbia...ah yes, and Montenegro!
Holland 1 - 2 Argentina

I don't expect a fantastic match out of Holland-Argentina, for both teams already qualified and it doesn't really matter whether to play against Mexico or against Portugal.

Saludos,
Marambio

Heres my predicitions:
Portugal 2 - 2 Mexico
Iran 1 - 1 Angola
Côte d'Ivoire 0 - 1 Serbia & Montenegro!
Holland 1 - 3 Argentina

Still happy about that Polish victory!  bouncy

Will you watch the Cleveland Browns and the Detroit Lions on Sunday? Only if coach Eric Mangini resigned after a loss.

Sorry, but I still think you'll make better than a tie.  Wink That being said, I'm sure it will still be a very exiting match to watch. After all, it's pretty much the remake of the 1978 World Cup final. Big grin

Photolppt, I was wondering what the Portugese think of the player Cristiano Ronaldo? I for one can't stand him and his pathetic "step-over" attempts at trying to fool the defense.
What is the general feeling about Ronaldo among the Portugese?

I think the ARG-NED will be the match to watch.

Depends on whom you ask. For most people here he is a great player, with great talent, but that has a tendency to play for himself and tries to resolve the game situations alone... sometimes this is not good for the overall team.

He is not seen as much of a team player, due to this, and also his youth and still somewhat inexperience leaves him vulneable to overreactions over other players fouls. If a defense knows in advance that if Ronaldo is fouled, he will get mad and try to get even, they may use this to try and get him booked by the referee.

Ask the female population, and he is seen as a god, lots of fans and such. He is the sex symbol of the moment around here. Go figure.

Anyway, he already as a yellow card, so he should be left out of the game by Scolari, along with Pauleta, Costinha...

BTW, his fiancee is the Spanish born, portuguese TV host Merche Romero. Great taste the man has.  Smile

Mexico is now 1 to Portugal's 2.
Iran is playing as if they have realised they are in the world cup, number of great moves, unluck not to have been 1 up. But then again they played better than Mexico in the first half of their first game and then like a weak team gave way in the second half. Angola in my opinion is still not out.
