Folks, we're currently staying at det Fontainebleu Suites in Miami Beach, but the lack of good resturants nearby is driving us crazy - any locals got some good foodplaced to recomend?

There is a really nice deli/sub place right near the beach. I think 2nd st. I can't remember, but its close to the park and across from a really fancy looking restaurant. Sorry I don't remember the name.

There are plenty of good restaraunts of all sorts on Lincoln Road, though they are all relatively expensive. As mentioned in reply #1, you can't go wrong with Joe's, but it takes sooo long to get a table there sometimes, make sure you go early. If you want really good italian food, head up to north miami beach near Bal Harbor and try Cafe Ragazzi, it's fantastic and not too expensive. Check online for the address.

Try Next on Lincoln Road, great menu lots of food at pretty good prices. Just walk up and down lincoln road you will find plenty around there. And prices are not as bad as they are on South Beach.

Well, thanks for input guys - stumach needs to be filled for another 5 days!  Smile

OK, its on South beach, but maybe on washington or collins not sure, its a small cuban diner/restaurant called Puerto Sagua. Mildly priced and VERY good food.

VERY good food. check it out.

I would echo the other comments- I can't believe I forogt Lincon Road in my pervious comment! NEXT is good but get ready do feel like a total GLUTTON. The portions are epic and the menu is as thick as a phone book.

Also, Puerto Sagua is on Collins I believe..there is a parking garage right across the side street IIRC...

Also, if you get a chance to get into the grove and you're in to Indian food, make sure you go for Anokha, it's my personal favorite restaraunt back home, very tasty and the employees are all great.
