I searched on Yahoo or Google for some LAX pictures because I just returned from there before signing up here, I found the LAX airport overview pretty impressive when I departed from there, so I was curious if there are any more pictures.

Quoting Halls120 (Reply 16): Was surfing the net, and just stumbled on the photo section.
I think the photos section is a huge draw. I'll come out of the closet and say the real reason I found a.net was before I went to St. Maarten in '02 I was looking at sites about the island and saw some small pix showing Maho Beach and went searching for more. Voila! I didn't even look at the forums for another year or so.

I was searching for a new desktop background. I had googled Air Canada 747 and found this site. I think it was may 2004. After that I forgot about it until July of last year. Then finally joined in Feb '06. I'm glad I did.

On my last visit to Florida, we stayed at the MCO Hyatt because of a 0600 departure time. Our room overlooked the active departure runway(s) and I spent most of the evening on the little patio watching the movements. The hotel "spotting" was the critical mass on a looong-dormant aviation fascination and when I got home, I went in search of photos of MCO and PHL and all that goodness. On dial-up, no less! Guess what I found...that other site! No, really, I found this one.

Same here. I just stopped by to view the latest photos, completely ignoring the message boards. Then I started reading and, well, here I am, lol.

Nice pic! She is sho hot!
On a serious note, I had just got back from IFP after taking some shitty pics with a point and shoot and was talking to my good friend (and future Senator and probably President) Jonathan M Karl about it and how close you can get to the aircraft and he told me about this site.

I had been an aviation fan for years as a younger guy, and kind of fell out of it for 20 years or so. One day at work about two years ago, I decided to Google "Boeing 747" and the rest is pretty self-explanatory.

A buddy of mine told me to join-as he read the posts frequently. I did on a whim, he eventually wanted to join, but didn't want to pay. He is a pilot now for American Eagle, and I am....well I am still on Anet.
