Darwin Award refers to somebody dying, this would classify as possibly an honorable mention, but if you were to send it, it's likely that they would reject it.

Too Common!

What an idiot. What if that telephone pole had been a child playing on the sidewalk. Some people should not have a license....

This thread is disrespectful to idiots. Idiots are an important part of our society and have made significant contributions in the workplace. They have made tremendous progress from being an oppressed group and now occupy high positions in Government, not to mention leadership positions in Airline Management.

Man, this really gets my blood boiling and I move for deletion of this thread.

Quote from www.darwinawards.com:

Quote:
The Darwin Awards salute the improvement of
the human genome by honoring those who accidentally
kill themselves in really stupid ways.

Well... in this case I think the "accidentally" doesn't apply, and he only "almost" killed himself. So it's an "intentional almost darwin award". Happy now?  bouncy

Only because you are making it obvious you didn't mean offend.

Yes, I know I'm a good bit touchy about the subject, but I have sucessfully submitted a nominee.

What do you mean? I didn't mean to offend anyone, and I hope you didn't either - everyone's happy.

Ahhh OK, got it, thanks... I didn't quite understand why you were so - well - touchy about the subject. I know better now...

And congrats for submitting a nominee! I didn't think this was such a "serious" issue.
