<Italy - France> The WM Final Expectations

Hi guys... France made it to the Final so now we can speculate on who's gonna win on Sunday. All comments and off-topic considerations are Welcome.
Italy --> Thanks for this beautiful match and let us Italians dream
Germany --> A great game and a lesson of how to lose with dignity and honour
France --> They played very well in the 8th and 4th finals and won with the minimum tonight, a deserved final
Portugal --> A WM above the expectations with a great coach and good players

Also I wish we will see a nice match for the 3rd place which I think to many people like to discredit. Why all the people is happy for a Bronze medal at the Olympics and we shouldn't give the deserved importance to this match???

PS. I hope Italy does his small "vendetta" against the Bleu's. I think about WM 98 and Euro 2000

Hope we all will enjoy 2 beautiful matches again.

Ciao
Joe

I find it hard to believe Italy can lose this. Nobody has scored on them, they are playing their best soccer. I say Italy wins by one or 2 goals and another shutout by Buffon. He is a wall in that goal!

Didnt the USA score against Italy? But yes, I agree, Italy just might take this one.

I am really looking forward to Sunday's final. I haven't been this excited about a football match since...well, ever! Big grin

May the best team win. Forza Azzurri!!

ITA 1:2 FRA

The Italian goal will be by Luca Toni, while the French goals will be one by Henry and the last one by Zidane.

Too nervous to speculate ... regardless of who wins, I am very happy and proud of Italy. They began the WC with the whole corruption scandal, then they had Nesta injured, then Pessotto attempted suicide .... the players gave 110% and made to be able to play all 7 games. Of course I want to win it, I will be the happiest person on earth, but yesterday's game against Germany was in my heart a final of its own, and we won it. Hopefully I'll be on Sunday as happy as yesterday, but if not, no worries. Grazie ragazzi e Forza Italia!

Yeah, Dignity & Honour  sarcastic , just look at the match against Argentina, the end brawl.

I don't think it will be a high scoring game, I say:
FRANCE 1 - 0 ITALY at 90 minutes.

After the whole Italy-Australia fiasco I cannot bring myself to support the Azzuri, so I will be cheering on France.

Anyone find it interesting that it is the Blues v. Blues?

This is the match up I didn't want to happen.

I feel sorry for my cousins in Agde, France, Sarno, Sant Angelo and Erba, Italy. They will not be talking to each other for a long time. Just more fuel on a 100 year old family feud.

But since my French relatives were once Italians....I will root for Italy. But It sure would be nice for Zidane if he held the cup in his final year.

Yeah me too. I was gutted that Aus were only able to be beaten by an Italian side resorting to diving. (For diving, read cheating). Same as Portugal's (and Ronaldo's) shameful display last night. Good on France, Allez les bleus!

As an aside, what is it with Mediterranean and South American teams and the diving? I know EVERY team has a player who will fall easily every now and then, but with Portugal, Italy, Brazil etc they always have to grab their faces like they've been shot through the eye socket every time they'te tackled.
It's actually starting to put me off football.
