If you have enough room on your desk, go for the 19". The TFT's are pretty good, and very handy if your office is cramped, but if you are going to be manipulating photos then I would go for a goor CRT.

You can get a perfectly flat 19" CRT for less than 15" TFT. Unless you're really starved for desktop space, it's a no brainer choice. There are some great deals to be had in some Samsung monitors in the 19+inch range. Some TFTs on the low end aren't suitable for gaming.

only get a tft if you haven't got the space. Thats all they're good for. the CRT is much better on quality, refresh etc etc. If you've got the room. Always get the biggest screen you can, considering the room.
