AAAAAGGGHHH!
It's official, I'm becoming an old fart.
She's 20 years old, and her fiancé is a very fine hardworking boy. But Jeezus this is tough to get my head around. My little girl will be getting married!
The following is a representation of all the feelings I'm having right now:

OMG! Congratulations in one side, but the other side must be hard to watch your little girl grow up. When my son left diapers earlier this year, it was even a little bittersweet to realize he was no longer a baby.
Since my daughter is only six, at least I can wait several years before she looses her innocence. And whichever guy she marries will have a hard time with her anyways, she has a looooong family history of females that are totally and completely female. For example, she already told me she could drink a regular Coke because 'it could make me fat'. Realize now that most of the women in our family are not skinny and dont worry much about diets.

Look at the bright sides of this
1) no grandchildren yet- that means you're not an old OLD fart
2) She's still your widdle girl and will always be, till the day she dies
3) You haven't beaten Andy, agewise yet

Congrats!
Now, when my daughter decides to get hitched (she better be 30) . . . I'm sure I'll feel the same way . . .
She's gonna have a hard enough time just dating . . . little bastard has to get by me and her step-dad first . . . did I mention he is a Deputy US Marshal??? It won't be pretty.

Yes...you're getting old and there's no cure for it...it's terminal and will eventually end in your death, but at least this way you get grandchildren.....
who will make you remember you're getting really old!

My daughter got married two years ago, and it was a wonderful event. I'm sure you'll enjoy it, as long as you don't look when you start signing the checks.....

Damn, I'm glad I have sons, not daughters. Now, the little buggers have already produced 2 grandchildren for us, but I haven't had to shell out for a wedding ....... yet ......

Thanks for all the wishes, guys.
I've insisted that he be financially self-sufficient before they get married, so it will be another couple of years. He's an apprentice chef in a 5-star hotel. He's extremely good at what he does (he did our family's christmas dinner bash last year), but he needs to finish the apprenticeship first.
But he's come an awful long way since I first met him a few years ago. He was a wigger at the time (white guy who tries to dress and talk like a rapper). The first time he came to the house I chased him off with a bat. Now he has learned how to act more civilized, can mix with any company (including 5-star customers), and he thanks me for having shaken him up a bit .

Congratulations, Charles! (I guess )
20 years old... Wow.
I cannot see myself getting engaged in the next five years. Eek (my parents think the same thing).
America's chickens are coming home to rooooost!
25 Luisde8cd: 20 years old? Woah.. that's very young in my opinion, but I guess love always prevails. I'm 21 and I've never even remotely thought about marriage, de
