My Fiance and I are moving into a new apartment and I remember a few years back that Lufthansa was selling some of their old seats. The lady is being nice to me and allowing me to have one for one of the rooms. Does anyone know if they are still selling them or if anyone else?

Thanks,
JFK69

yeah I saw those but it is a apartment in Forest Hills, size is a factor. I am looking for one seat, Coach class is fine.

The Boeing surplus store has them sometimes. I once bought a sweet set of circa-70's AQ seats.

you may struggle to get just one seat. unless it was from a regional prop or jet as most seats were built as sets of 2/3/4 etc.

The Delta Heritage Museum sells used aircraft seats. In fact, they will have a special sale just for the seats from the Spirit of Delta.

They have a web site, but I am too lazy to look it up.

Thanks for the replies. I checked out the delta website but they have no mention of it. I am sure those seats will be out of my price range anyways.

Go to Bournemouth (don't know how to spell it properly - a city in southern England where European Aviation is based)
There they have a whole mountain of old 742 seats. I was there last weekend and took some souveneirs myself. Talk with the people there and offer them a couple of pounds!

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

Or you can go to some of the aircraft salvage yards. If you get in touch with the right people, they'll probably sell you a double or triple.

I remember a few years back that Lufthansa was selling some of their old seats.

I saw that too...I remember they were selling them in rows of 4 or 2.

My dream was to get about 7 rows of seats and find the walls of a plane cabin and get overhead bins and everything. I wanted to have ptv's too and I wanted to have flat screen tv's outside the windows showing clouds and stuff going by so it would look like it was flying.

I had a pair of United Airline seats I found at a thrift store for only $15.
The funny part was getting them home.
I strapped them to the top of my Lincoln and drove across town to my house. The tourist here in San Francisco thought I was an attraction and started taking pictures when I was at red lights.
