Okay, as some of you know through the chat, my last day @ my job, and it was noting! Let me enlighten you.

Alright, I've been working as a busboy for the past two months @ this resturant around the corner from my house. My boss was one of those bosses from hell  devil . He yelled @ people to the point of having them quit on the spot, always swore, and hit on the female employees  no . Last Monday I found another job that I'll start training at on Monday and gave my 2 week notice that day. I come in today, my last day of work, and told I'm not needed, go home. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? So I got my last paycheck and went home.

Well I believe it all is coming to an end. Oh well, I guess we are gonna pretend.

This common practice in some companies. Why do want work there when you know you are leaving and going to get paid for it. Just take your pay and have a short holiday

None of this would be acceptable in my workplace or any other it just disgraceful.
Good luck in your new job Piercey

If I read it correctly he was hitting on them - not hitting them  Smile

Can I asume he always gets rejected? If so. That's where it starts, then he could get more violent.

This guy sounds like a real a$$. I guess it's a good thing you quit.

Sexual harrassment 101. It is sad that while most major corporations have a strict policy regarding sexual harrassment in the workplace most stand alone businesses do not. It is especially sensitive in the hotel/restaurant industry where people end up in close proximity of one another physically while working.

There are however criminal penalties for such conduct on behalf of employees and the business is simply opening itself for litigation. I suspect the owners have no clue. If they did he would not be working there.

Standard practice is to walk people the moment they resign. It is especially true in high profile jobs and or jobs where sensitive information can be taken over to the competitors. I was walked from my last job, I got paid two weeks for the notice I gave them and my outstanding vacation time.

Don't worry too much about it. Get on with your new job. And good luck!

cheers

Looks like you handled the situation all wrong. Seeing as it was your last day you should have given the boss a bit of payback.

I would've been all like, "Bitch, you make me walk all this way and now you tellin mwa to go home, bitch I whoop yo ass. Hell yeah I'll go home, but seeing as I was rostered (Im assuming you were LOL) you gotta pay me in full for the shift" And then you should've caused all this mayhem and punched the boss.....and then quickly run away lol Big grin

Job i had a few years ago ws one of the worst i ever had, still thinking weather to complain or not, will not get me anywhere, but be good to get in open.

I used to work for a small oil company, sales and stuff. I had the front desk in the office, with a small cooker sales area in front. I did EVERYTHING. Telephone stuff, and i would do what BOTH Managers told me. The oil manager and the Cooker manager. I was under there control. I would be asked to do one thing by one manager, then another by the other, then told of for not doing one thing, well u get the jist.
Anyway, one day i was in teh office, the phones were not busy, 3 others on them, and the cooker girl had problems with her computer, a wire loose or something, she needed some info from it as she had a customer on the phone. As there was no one in front, i went into her office next to where i sat and got under the desk. Took all the wires out, put em all in and turned the comp on. With me half under the desk, the manager came flying in "WHAT THE F*** ARE YOU DOING AWAY FROM YOUR DESK, WHAT THE F*** HAVE I TOLD YOU YOU LITTLE S***" etc etc etc. He went on for about 10 min swearing and shouting at the top of his voice. The office stopped, my friend the cooker lady had to hang up on the customer. I was marched back to my desk where i stayed for 5 min before having to go to the toilet crying. I HAVE NEVER felt so low. As i was doing 2 jobs, 2 different bosses, stuff would be missed, jobs half done, and would always get in trouble. The oil boss even made me once a month call other companies for prices, I HATED IT, had to pretend to be a cusotmer wanting oil.

Wont even start on health and safety there. 2 exits, one next to gas cansitors, and next to a huge oil store. No way out. Was there a year, never got told what to do, never heard the fire alarm. Never shown how to use the fire stuff.

Do i tell, or not worth it now lol

What's the new job then?

MacDonalds? Don't forget to do a 'spot' check. (They do in the UK) The more spots you have the better chance of employment.

Sad post by a sad person IMHO. Just get on with life and stop posting your carp on here.

BTW.... Good luck. With life  Yeah sure

I am currently consdering leaving my job after nearly eight years, although i
job (sometimes) my company hired 3 ex ryanair management staff who have
tried to cut costs and corners and generally treat staff like shit, i think they
had special training at the "MOL school of management", i now have a clearer
understanding of how ryanair staff feel!
