Sorry, but German beer all tastes the same to me, not very many variancies. Ko-pi is by far average, but its also my dads favourite beer.

If you want some great beers, come to Canada! The micro-brews here are amazing and even the mass-market (Sleemans, Labatts, Molson) are very drinkable. Just stay away from Kokannee though, tastes like fish piss

It seems that you havent tried many German beers. Probably not even the main ones otherwise you wouldnt write such a thing.

Kö-Pi is indeed ok. I am a wheat-beer fan but when it comes to Pils, then I prefer Fiege, Kö-Pi or Bit.

A general warning to all: Stay away from Warsteiner! It is a disgrace for the worldwide brewing guild!

It's a dark hefeweizen, could be Paulaner Dunkel, but hard to tell. Hefeweizens are great in the summer time.

Darn right! In the middle of the Ruhrpott, can't be expected to drink DAB or something like that .....

Besides, I'm more of an ale person myself, alt is the closest I can find there.

Nope, but there's a BC Liquor store in a strip mall on the other side of town and they got a great collection of imported beers, I'm sure that I've seen it there, but probably just didn't pay attention to it.

You've been warned. And after you had some Tyskie, write a tripping report tomorrow.

On my way out now ....

But, while we are on the topic of beers, one thing I find disgraceful is adding flavours to it. Very popular in Germany, such as lemon, apple-lemon, cola, and God only knows what else ... blah!
