In a letter to the United Nations I suggest deletion of 2001. Next January we could start a second attempt and make 2001 more peace- and joyful.
Would anybody like to sign?

I wish it really could happen so easy. This has got to be one of the very worse years at least in my life. Not only because of Sept 11, but also because of personal shit, family illnesses, deaths of friends of mine and financial issues.

Just an incredibly horrible year all the way around.

It has been a crummy year, hasn't it?

In past years, I used to watch the 10 p.m. news before going to bed. Increasingly over the course of the year (and particularly from about a week after Sept. 11 onward), I've been watching comedies instead. The last thing I want before going to sleep is to be reminded about what's going on in the world.

Ironic, how all the TV commentators complained last December in the "Year Summary" shows that the year 2000 had been a disappointment, because nothing important happened....

This year, I bet they'd rather have little to report. Then again, being part of the media, second-most-evil-group-of-people-after-lawyers, maybe not.

Regards

Ikarus

I am not going to have anything to do with anything involving the UN. That's all I have to say about this...
