Anyone here visited any of the Greek Islands? If so, which is your favourite and why?

I visited Serifos, a small Island about 2.5 hours from Athens (or 4.5 on a normal ferry) this summer. Found it pretty nice, lovely beaches, friendly people and so on.. Only thing that was annoying was the infrastructure (especially the roads) and the dry landscape. Not a bit of green space in sight for miles. The dust is just unbelievable, not really good for an Asthma suffer like my dad. Also visited a few other Islands when I was way younger (probably 4-5) so don’t remember much.

I've been to Corfu, Crete, Santorini, and Mykanos. My favorite is definitely Santorini. It's magical.

I have been to many islands because I am Greek. I liked Mykonos and Santorini a lot. The thing is that the climate of the islands is dry and the Cyclades (island complex) are always dry and rocky. On the other hand, the Ionian islands have a lot of trees and forrests. Don't forget that all the small islands have less than 1,000 permanent habitants so there is no need for a lot of infrastructure just for the 4 busy months. It is not like Las Vegas and there is a need to keep them as traditional as possible.

I've been to Corfu (an Ionian island) but that's the only one I've been to. It was very nice. Here is a picture I took while in Corfu:

Across the water in the background is Albania.
