A former American school teacher said publicly Thursday that he was with JonBenet Ramsey when she died in what he called "an accident," a stunning admission after a decade without answers in the 6-year-old girl's murder. But the suspect's ex-wife said she was with him in Alabama at the time of JonBenet's 1996 death.

I'm asking this half-seriously, but how many times did the National Enquirer "find the real killer"? Whatever became of those "leads"?

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't do it. From his press conference he really comes across as a whack job that's been obsessing over JonBenet for years and enjoys the attention & the connection to JonBenet his "confession" has brought about.

The authorities, however, seem to be treating this as the real thing, so they must have some other evidence (DNA?) other than his confession.

It'll be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Well it was 10 years ago. It is possible she remembers the wrong year. You know "Oh wait that was Christmas 1997 not Christmas 1996." Do you remember where you were for Christmas 1996? I don't.

I am sure the FBI will be checking airline records and credit card records to see if he had a trip to Alabama at that time. Of course, the records may not exist any more even if you do have a subpeona.

This looser said that he had sex with the girl (sick bastard). If there is DNA, then he dies. If there isn't, then he goes to the crazy house for a long long time.

Problem resolved.

After seeing this guys pictures, I am convinced he is guilty. He looks guilty. He looks like the kind of person that would do something like this. They should just skip the trial and lock him up for ever. He would not last long in prison.

Well, what this starting to sound like is, that this guy who was apparently researching the murder of JonBenet Ramsey, became so engrossed in it, and looks to be suffering from a dilusional infatuation with the case, so much that he may be trying to insert himself in as a fantasy killer. Fromall outward appearances, there are family members recounting that he was with them during the christmas holiday. He never lived, or was known to be anywhere near Boulder, CO.

Gotta agree with you there. At this point he seems like a nut who has assumed this identity...wouldn't be the first time someone admitted to a crime they didn't commit. It'll be interesting to see this play out...

I am happy to say I have never been selected for a jury. Infact when I get my notice now I just trash them. Jury duty is a huge waste of time. The government would not waste money trying to prosecute someone if they were innocent. If they are there, they are there for a reason. They are guilty.

He has told investigators that he drugged JonBenet before he killed her, yet no drugs were found in her system.

The guy is a whacko, looking for his 15 minutes of fame.

Yes, preconviction is the answer. No trial, just lock him up because he looks guilty. That's great logic. You get the trophy

Oh, my ideological legal system is very fair.

Get rid of trials because everyone is guilty because i say so, thousands upon thousands are wrongfully convicted.

Seriously dude, you sound so whacked out right now, i'd be amazed if a single person agreed with you- even here.

Given a choice, would you rather face Thai courts on sex charges (where you'd get the death penalty) or make a confession for 2nd-degree manslaughter in the US (where you are almost guaranteed not to get zapped for many many years)?

I hope to god you never have to stand infront of a Jury thinking that.

Dc10s4ever -

I see you are "looking for a real job"

You might want to take a hit off the reality glue before you go on any interviews.

I dont plan on going to any interviews. So far I cannot find a job with at least 8 weeks of vacation a year, work no more than 4 days a week, 5 hours a day and pays at least $75,000.00 a year. Until I do I will sit on my arse.

Probably some type of out side sales, so no one is constantly looking over my shoulder, and I could just rape the hell out of people and take them to the cleaners.

Ok, based on my evidense, you are hearby found guilty. Off to to jail. No trial. Why? Just because you look guilty. Court is ajourned.
