I'll be stopping in ZRH for 4:30 hours on my way to MXP for the Monza Grand Prix (go Schuey!) and I am thinking of heading downtown and do a quick tour of the city before continuing to Milan.
I was wondering if any a.nutter ZRH resident would give me some tips on what to do, I don't do museums or anything like that, I just want to go and see some of the city and probably buy some cheesy souvenirs.

I second that. It is a 7 minute train ride into the city and that takes you right in the middle of things. Trains run about every 10 minutes. Walk the Bahnhofstrasse to the lake and then take a stroll through the old city (niederdorf). Zurich is an awesome city, especially when the weather's nice!

If you really want some crappy (read: trite) souveniers, check out the "Schweizer Heimatwerk" at the Zurich train station. In fact, the train station isn't a bad place to start your adventure. Just take any S-train leading to "Zurich HB", then explore the station and surrounding areas. If you want to go other places quickly, the tram system has a hub right outside to take you wherever you'd like to go in the city.
Enjoy your brief stay in Zurich; it really is a fantastic place.
