There was a thread on this a while back but now that I actually have my own (yay!) I thought I would start another thread. I recieved my Zen Creative microphoto in the post today. It was bought off ebay for £66, brand new. (again...yay!)
Having used my mobile phone as an mp3 player in the past, using this new mp3 player is great. So much more functions etc etc. The main reason I choose this over the ipod is that it has fm radio, and radio recorder functions which I would find handy. I do enjoy listening to Chris Moyles in the morning when walking into uni!
The memory size is 4gb, however all my music takes up only1 to 2 GB leaving me alot of space for photos (which can also be viewed on the mp3 player).
The only downside of this mp3 player is that it only comes with a usb charger, so I am loooking to buy a wall charger off ebay cheapily, so im not left mp3 playerless whilst on holiday, milea away from a computer!
Apart from that, great mp3 player. Im chuffed to bits with it.
What type of mp3 player do you have and do you like it and what are its advantages and disadvantages?
Cheers,
Dave

I just have an iTronics 512MB mp3 player. I haven't used it for a while, but it does me fine and dandy. If my laptop works tonight, I might update my playlist. It might make my walk to work a bit more interesting.

Quoting Klaus (Reply 12): By the way: The radio isn't the difference - if you want one, you can get the fully integrated iPod Radio Remote.
I was tempted to get an ipod nano, but I never knew about the radio remote. But a bet it doesn't have radio record
At the moment it looks like the ipod nano is a sure winner for everyone! I must admit, when I saw my friends, I couldn't believe how small it was. Fits nicely into the inner pocket on a pair of jeans! There only one other person that I can see with a Zen Creative! Umph!
Mp3 players these days are so easy to load up with music. Just plug them into the usb socket and bingo! Also battery lifes are always increasing!

You must admit, ifyou're on a long train, or plane journey, its handy to have, although im not sure they're allowed as hand luggage now on flights with all the goings on at the moment. I guess its for the best though

Yea but it saves the hassle of finding it over the net, etc etc. Easy just to press one button. Anyone who listens to chris moyles will understand why I would want to record parts of the show

If it's on iTunes, you simply enter the name of the show in iTunes' search field, then click on "subscribe" and every new episode will appear automatically on your computer and - if you want - on your iPod as well.
A lot easier, actually, than manually recording from radio to your mobile player (with all the issues like missed episodes, flat batteries, bad reception and other things).

I have 26 GB of music = 6,329 songs, all type of music.
and 1.70 GB of videos = 50 videos.
The actual capacity of the Ipod is 27.81 GB and I Only have a few MB available now, I use them to carry documents or other things, and you can always use it as an external hard drive.
But now I wish I had buy the 60 GB version, not many space left and still a lot of music in my collection.
