Swaguy - welcome. Word of warning, you've set yourself up for one heck of a 'warm' welcome, but if you get through it you'll find it a fun place. But one word of friendly advice from an airline enthusiast who just happens to be gay - this isn't the place to be looking for dates!

No man, you evidently misunderstood a couple of things.
When a pilot tells air traffic control that he is going to "deviate to the [left][right]" he means that he is going to fly around a thunderstorm. It has nothing to do with his intentions regarding the other pilot!
When your actor friend tells you he is going to "do a pilot" it means he is shooting a made-for-TV movie. Okay?
Pilots are straight.
Well, most pilots are straight. At least they are butch enough that I can't spot them - unless I see their car.
Anyway, welcome to airlinersDOTnet. Good hunting!

P.S. I'd take a cup of coffee, black, double-cupped, and are there any first class meals left over?
Happiness is not seeing another trite Ste. Maarten photo all week long.

ummm no... A Pilot is the very first episode that is made for a program that can either be a regular series (sitcom) or mini series. The pilot episode is shown to exec's who decide the fate of the proect based on that one episode.
