This summer was a very good summer for me, I really enjoyed my time in the States and in Canada. I might post the US pictures later but they are on my dad's laptop and right now I only have the pictures from Canada. These pictures are from Toronto, ON, I might post the Niagara Falls and USA pictures later:
Our tour bus, which also happens to be a boat which goes into Lake Ontario.
Seen from the bus stop for the tour bus.
Count the traffic lights...
I think this was in Yonge square
Also Yonge Square
UFT campus
The coolest building in Toronto!
Toronto skyline from Lake Ontario
Not sure what this place is called but it was very nice...
Best caution sign i've ever seen!
CN Tower seen from the bottom...
Toronto City Centre Airport/CYTZ
The Skydome (Rogers Centre) & the Gardiner expressway.
The Toronto skyline from the CN Tower.
My pathetic attempt at being artistic

I'm glad you had a great time in our beautiful city.
Although we were not ranked among the top 10 cities to visit in US and Canada (bit of a let down for the city), we are still a great city for tourists.
By the way, I think the CHUM building is pretty cool, too!
Hopefully you'll make your way back in the near future
Cheers,

That was it... was hard to keep up with the names of all the places!
Quoting YYZAeroEng (Reply 4): A couple small corrections, your pic of the UofT campus is actually a picture of Queens Park (the Ontario Legislature building)
Thanks for the corrections, I thought it was the UofT campus because if I recall correctly its close to the campus...
Quoting YYZAeroEng (Reply 4): The square you were at is Dundas Square at the corner of Yonge and Dundas (Ryerson University is near by, it's a very nice compact campus)
I realised that later when looking around Flickr, I had forgotten the name and assumed it was Yonge square because of the writing on the billaboard.

Thats too bad... I personally loved Toronto, although I didn't get the chance to see Eaton centre I only managed to visit downtown once, the rest of the time was spent mostly in Mississauga and we went down to Niagara Falls for a weekend.

I sure hope so, although everyone told me that Toronto (especially for an Arab) and Canada in general are very different in the winter and that I would not enjoy it... if I do come back it will probably be to McGill university in Montreal, but that still isn't very clear... I should find out by next summer.

I go to McGill, I'm graduating this December. Listen Canada is definately different from the Khaleej. The comforts that we have back home are definately not available here! Having said that I think Canada's a good place to get your education. Personally I'm definately going to go back to the Gulf in December. Most of my friends are planning to do so as well - I miss the warmth, the way of life...ok enough said lol!
BTW if you need help or info with unis just ask me!

Too bad you only spent time in Toronto. If you get a chance, you really need to head out west, Canada's true beauty is British Columbia, if you've never seen the rockies.

Glad you enjoyed your stay in our city. Personally, I never really take the time to appreciate some of it's beauty. I drive around it all day long getting mad at the traffic and just plain ignoring most of what's around me. Those pictures sure do make Toronto look good, perhaps it's time that I go back up the CN Tower and have a look at our skyline, I haven't done that for quite some time.
It may be too early to drink scotch... But it is NEVER too early to think about it...

I know it is exteremly different from the khaleej but I don't mind at all, I know plenty of people who have gone to McGill and the say that the student life in Montreal is amazing. There are some things about the Gulf I will not miss... but, it is not definite that I will go to uni in Montreal, I might end up en England, i'm not completley sure.

I've heard that from many Canadians, I would love to head out to Vancouver and see BC, I have also heard Calagary is a very nice place. Maybe on my next visit.

Its always like that, when you live somewhere you don't appreciate it as much as someone who is only visiting. I am Jordanian and although I don't live there, I go there every summer, and even though i've been going there all my life I haven't seen many of the beautiful tourist areas which everyone says are great...
One problem I had with Toronto was YYZ... I have never seen such an unorganized airport (At least the American Terminal was). There were only 3 or 4 check in staff the day we were flying to ORD to catch our flight to AMM and there were hundreds of passengers, it was going so slow that they started calling out the times of the flights and checking people in based on how soon their flight was departing. Security was also a big mess, and luggage was pretty much leaving the bags on the floor near the belt because it was so full... we ended up missing our flight to ORD and we had to take the next flight out.

Ahh – Oh Canada! True North Strong and Free.
Thank you, QR332 for the trip report! Love the pictures. My parents live 6 months of the year in New Brunswick. Canada is my father’s homeland. They are on Campobello Island, overlooking Head Harbor Passage (380’ deep water). Head Harbor separates the Bay of Fundy and Cobscook Bay. Being 380’ deep ‘the river’ as Head Harbor is known – can accommodate ocean going vessels.
Campobello Island is home to the Franklin D. Roosevelt International Park and Old Sow right off the shore. Old Sow is the Western Hemisphere’s largest tidal whirlpool. The nearby Passamaquoddy Bay is home to some of the world’s largest tides.
For my pilgrimage up there last year, I was going to craft a trip report and title it “Viva Nouveau-Brunswick and Back to LASâ€
This is just one speck of Canada, which is truly a beautiful land. Visit the Maritimes anytime!
Please allow me to share some pictures. Identifying the plane gets bonus points. Notice the beauty of the water; how it changes shades each day. The ship with the red sail is the Salina W. Beal; a whale watching craft. People come from all over the world to watch whales.
