I'd say either ALF or the Family Matters, I don't remember watching Family Ties that much. What about you guys/gals?

For me, it was "Cheers." Well cast, and the writing was always crisp and very funny.

When I was in college in the early 80's NBC had a Thursday night lineup that was unbeatable back then: Cosby, Family Ties, Cheers, Night Court, and Hill Street Blues.

But MacGyver was an awesome show, too. Greatest PR ever for duct tape!  Smile

I hate to admit it, but.....Knots Landing....at least the early years before it became another prime soap.

Panam, TWA, Ansett, Eastern.......AC next? Might be good for Canada.

We didn't have much American television in Singapore in the 1980s. Everything shown on television was produced by either the BBC or Thames. So my favourite foreign English show from the 80s would be a Thames production, "Mind your language".

You know a lot of the shows that you guys mentioned are on as reruns now. Just tune in to UPN or TBS or something and you'll see back to back episodes of Three's Company and Chips. Wow, all this talk takes me back to when I was a kid. Remember the TV game called Card Sharks? I used to love that!
