True but if you ask me this will be or next one will be the last season, they are getting so tired of super cars to test out and are doing these things every week like the toybota and them sort of ones.

Thats what i believe anyway, i mean is it me or is it getting more of a comedy show than anything? you can tell they are running out of material. Look at star ina reasonably priced car, that used to be 4 mins long now its almost taken up 10 mins of the show.

I doubt it.

Top Gear has been on for years, its essential blokes TV. If the BBC drop it, expect someone like ITV to pick it up - its going nowhere as it is hugely popular. Apparently the waiting list for tickets to go in the audience is years.

If anything happens, they will shake up the presenters. I can't see Clarkson going - he is Top Gear, but Hammond and May, possibly, though I personally think they are a great mix.

actually the star in a car is myt least favourite part of the show! wacky challenges are the best ! some shows are better than others!

If they get rid of TG there would be no reason to have the BBC on the TV, because all there other programs are trash.

Not only that, but they are starting to invite people back that they already had on before. That's rather a downer... But the segment can be fun with the right guest. Just don't tell me that they have run out of celebrities that are willing to come on the show.

Let's see, they've raced against tanks, choppers, jets. They have turned cars into boats... what else can they do?

Ahhhh, I know what they can do. Remember in "The Man With The Golden Gun", Scaramanga gets away in a car that turns into an airplane? That would be a nice challenge for next season  Smile

Thats because they have got a new car.

Yes it is.

What they need to do is get some more F1 drivers to come down and have ago, past and present. Maybe some WRC drivers too would be good.

Hell why have the star in a reasonably priced car go around a road circuit, why not make them drive a rally style course/stage and reinvent it a bit?

Does anyone know if they are having a race in the new series across Europe anywhere?

Adam

What i'd like to see is them testing more cars your average person can afford to drive, not some £500,000 supercar every show.

They are doing something involving driving a car accross the US, don't know if it is a race.

Stop dreaming, it's Top Gear not Fifth Gear, if you want resonable priced cars, go and watch the rubbish called Fifth Gear  Wink

So what? They had better not start reinviting all the old guests every couple of years when they replace the car.

BTW, they not only replaced the car, but changed the rules as well. Before, you made several laps and they took your best time. With the new rules, only one lap is timed, and even if you completely messed it up but did your practice runs perfectly, you're screwed. Look at Jimmy Carr's performance - he did really well in the first car, but spun out on his timed lap in the second. I think they should have kept the same rules.

I'm glad to see TG back soon, but this past season was weaker than previous ones, IMHO. The show has become too scripted as well. It is still huge entertainment, and I hope they do more challenges, races, and of course keep testing cars that enthusiasts lust after.
