Dick Mountjoy For Senate :)

It just occurred to me that this guy is the Republican Senate nominee to challenge Senator Diane Feinstein. I remember when he was in the state Assembly when I used to live in southern California.

This guy is a hard-core right-wing ideologue. Even Arnold Schwarzeneggar is keeping his distance from this guy. Dick Mountjoy has no chance of winning.
His own website has him posing with Pat Buchanan, Dan Quayle, Alan Keyes, Oliver North and a few others from the GOP’s big circus tent.

I am not a fan of the moderate Diane Feinstein but I guess I’ll have to reluctantly vote for her, again.

Good luck winning in California Dick!

Reminds me of that nutcase from Texas, John Culberson and Colorado's radical - Tancredo; both in the House.

Also, one's name is semi-important in a political campaign. And his? Even without the Dick.

He can't be worst than Bill Jones. That idiot ran two years ago without airing a single ad on TV, a first for a Senate's race. Barbara Boxer had a day trip against him.

Running for the United States Senate for the first time at 74 years of age. Is this the best the Republicans could come up with?

Are you SERIOUS? I would have never guessed that from his photo and patriotic icons on the banner.

To be fair, lets not forget about Dick Swett (D-NH).
He was a Congressman and ran for Senate and almost won in 1996.

Also there was the infamous DickArmey (R-TX).

Don't stop at the name--for some real fun, do some research on Mountjoy's many diatribes in the California Senate, and his general contrarian nature...if there were Senate votes that ran "anything to 1" it was usually a tossup whether the lone vote against whatever was Mountjoy's, or Tom McClintock's.

Tom's running for Lt. Governor. Gotta love California Reeps, following in Dick Nixon's footsteps...I think the party needs new blood. Let's get Kitty Harris to move west, 15 seconds after the general election's over in Florida.

Maury:
Look at his photo gallery at his website. You'd think he was running for Senate in Mississippi.
Not even Tom McClintock would pose in photo ops with Pat Buchanon, Alan Keyes, Dan Quayle and Oliver North.
