OK...here we go....once again the NFL season is upon us and the regulars of this thread over the last two years (for me at least) expect more new participants and better trashtalking (backed up by reality instead of wishful thinking). Constructive criticism and venting is the name of the game, along with your literary end zone dances when your guys come up with the big W!!!!
ATL is fighting it out this week with Carolina. Big test right up front.
Let's see how the new guys on defence slow down the Carolina passing attack. I'm also looking forward to seeing how Dunn holds up for the entire game himself. I wish there was a way we could have kept Duckett...that man is going to go underutilized in Washington, so why couldn't he have done so here? I know we needed the receiver....so that dude better work out. Or we ought to pick up Deion Branch, who looks available.

New season, New home for the Cardinals but will the results be the same. Big question will E.James be able to run the ball behind the poor offense line, and will the line be able to allow K. Warner to remain upright to throw the ball. Should be able to win the first one, with the 49ers in town.

I think the Cards are in for a tough season unless their O line picks up that slack because Warner is not the most durable guy, and the James can only pick his lanes if he has them.
The Pack is in for a tough time against da Bears deeee-fence. Favre is going to show today what the rest of the season is going to be like. I hope he starts strong...

Agreed, but the new stadium is beautiful... (Seahawks next week in Seattle should be a true test)

Eagles should beat the Texans today on the road...we have a nice soft start to our schedule, but it doesn't get brutal til late in the season, which is the key to our playoff hopes this year...

My Patriots have more questions than answers at the moment. No clear #1 WR with Branch still holding out, but the running game is improved with Dillon healthy and Laurence Maroney giving a little subtle encouragement. Look for NE to use their TE's Ben Watson and Daniel Graham a LOT.

I still think they win, but it's not pretty.
NE 24 BUF 10
I'll have to agree, The pats are my team as well, in fact all sports teams located in New England are too. NE will come out strong, maybe letting BUF score a TD and a FG, like my friend Duff44 said.

Browns lost to the Saints, 19-14. Too many errors, be it penalties, or key drops and a few turnovers. First play from scrimmage, Charlie Frye hit Braylon Edwards on a long TD pass-called back for holding. That was, in the end, the diff in the game.
To the Saints credit, they controlled both sides of the line.
I do see the Browns being a much improved team by years' end. They have a lot of pieces now, that just need time to gel a little.

Rams took care of the Broncos, 18-10.
A little disappointing that we couldn't get into the endzone and had to settle for 6 field goals, but the defense showed so much improvement. All told, this game was very encouraging. We may be close to competitive after all this year.

Falcons look like the rushing leaders again this year, and the passing was fine, if not predominant. The rushing kept our offence on the field for the majority of the game and our defence kept the other guys frustrated all day because it's evidently now difficult to run on us, as well as pass.
20-6 over the NFL Today's pick for Superbowl Champs....good start. Our acquisitions in Milloy and Abraham (especially Abe) look very good today, and the offense definitely shows the signs of a winner...
I'm feeling pretty good about this one.....I'll bet John Fox is not.

- I don't think the Giants have the offensive weapons like the Colts do.
Slightly off topic, Joe Buck did the pre-game show today on FOX. Does this mean that James Brown is gone and Joe Buck is out of the booth? James Brown is great in the
pre-game and Joe Buck is GREAT in the booth, both baseball and football. If Joe Buck is going to start doing the pre-game shows, does that mean Thom Brennaman is going to be the number one play caller for FOX?

The Eagles are back, baby!!!!
Donovan throws for over 300 yards, Donte' Stallworth has a surprisingly awesome debut as an Eagle, and the defense does a great job of stifling the Texans (after the 1st quarter), as the Eagles win 24-10...so far, Im very happy...
