I saw a poll on Netscape's website so I figured I'd get your people's opinions. If caught, should Osama Bin Laden get a trial or be assassinated?
I think assassination is best. Especially since it doesn't specify whether he'll be tried in a regular courthouse or not. The thought of some small stupidass technicality screwing his case go and him being free would kill me. Also, the media might allow him another chance to get any potential "secret messages" in. Kill the bastard.

There are many problems if he is captured alive, not only about the trail, but about the morons who worship him! Putting a bullet in his head, is the easiest thing to do, and I hope the first person who finds him does that right away!

Why not just force him to read some of MattD's posts on here?? That should be torture enough although he might enjoy that one about his friends dragging him to the strip club because he didn't want to go.

I'd rather he was liquidated in a very low profile way, preferably a commando sting operation that puts a few bullets between his eyes. The military then bombs out the place where he was eliminated and then releases a statement saying they have 'credible evidence' to prove Bin Laden has been killed, and brings up some Bin Laden deputies (who have been captured alive) to corroborate on camera. (These losers can later be served capital punishment/life or whatever, but thats another matter).
Note, there should be no statement like "we encountered Bin Laden face to face and confirm he has been eliminated". This is because it will doubtless result in 1. celebration in the west and 2. corresponding resentment and plans for revenge on the terrorists' side. We don't need all that. As far as I'm concerned its not cowardly not to make the news public directly. Its far more productive to keep the buggers guessing as to whether their head honcho really is history, while the armed forces track them down.
I don't think its as important that the American public MUST receive conclusive proof that Bin Laden is dead as much as the fact that the threat they face is eliminated in a way that is better suited to the long term goal of preventing revenge attacks in future. Then the military gets on with the business of neutering the rest of Al-Qaida. Once the armed forces get down to the larger task of clinically wiping out the terrorist cells, the public will come to believe Laden has been taken care off and that the armed forces are doing the right thing.

Oh yeah, for those of you who support capital punishment (I don't), the most painful death I could imagine would be death by H2O2. That is, you hook an IV up to, say, the arteries going from the heart, or possibly the Carota. Then you slowly inject Hydrogen Peroxide into his system so he can feel the almost infinite pain burning out his insides and slowly dying. Imagine when that schidt gets into his head!!!

I think Afghanistan should be turned into a sand dune. People always say "you can't do that" when I bring it up. They always bring up that there are women and children in Afghanistan. Well, there were women and children in the World Trade Center, Hijacked Aircraft, and on the ground. I think that we need to "get back" with the same thing that they did to us.
