Can someone please explain to me why someone from Nigeria, which is about as destitute of a country as one can find, that has a GNP of about $300 gets picked as "Miss World"?
Well, lets think VERY deeply about this higher grade question...
1) Maybe, JUST maybe, she's beautiful.
2) She might have brains
3) I'm taking a guess here, but she MIGHT have impressed the judges, as well as many people around the world.
4) She might have a great personality
5) And she just might have the character in her of a Miss World.
I really don't see what the GNP of a country has to do with whether an individual of that country wins Miss World or not.
Oh, and by the way, I'm sure the GNP of Nigeria isn't $300. Nigeria is actually one of the richest countries in Africa, because of it's oil resources.

She's cute for a little child. A bit on the thin side, about 30 pounds, but cute. Pity they don't have women in these contests. I still wouldn't waste my time watching it, but the though of proclaiming a child as the most beautiful woman in the world is absurd. And yes, even when I was a hormone controlled boy of 19, I thought women only became beautiful at 30. The truth of that has becaome rather more evident as the years pass.
Is grammar no longer taught is schools? Saying "me and her" or some such implies illiteracy.
