I am so excited, I just purchased a trip with my dad to Norway and Finland! Flying United SEA-ORD-EWR, and Continental EWR-OSL-EWR-SEA. Also doing a OSL-HEL link on Finnair. We are going to see Oslo and Bergen, Bodo, Tromso, Helsinki, and maybe Stockholm. Have any other Americans done a trip like this? It is going to be great!

How long are you staying in Oslo? Just feel free to ask if you want to know anything about it.

Why not just fly SEA-CPH-OSL, etc?

Or is it because you want to fly more legs?

SEA-EWR-OSL is cheaper. I looked at SEA-CPH, but it is twice as expensive. Plus, a few extra legs never hurt anyone!  biggrin

It should be awesome! Also, what sort of things are there to do in Bergen, Bodo, and Tromso?

I hope you are spending a lot of time in Norway, or realize that Bergen is an hour away, Bodø 1.5 hrs, and Tromsø 2 hrs away from Oslo by plane.

Be sure to go on "Fløibanen" when you visit Bergen. Provided it isn't overcast, you can see the entire city from the top (where you will also find a restaurant).

Hope you enjoy your stay.

If you arrive on a clear day, I should be able to see the contrail of your plane enroute EWR-OSL, as you pass over the Norwegian coast, and over Førde Airport.  Smile

You still haven't addressed whether you realize where these places are in relation to each other.

Yeah, I will be at both airports. I was wondering if I can flight spot at either of them. I know where they are.  Smile

"Both" airports? So far you have mentioned OSL and HEL. But you've also mentioned the cities of BGO, BOO, and TOS.

Oslo and Helsinki are the only places where I have time to flight spot. I am flying into both of these airports, and I was just wondering if there are any good spots around them to spot.

For the record, I have a huge map of Scandinavia in front of me!

On the top right, link to spotter guide for OSL. Pretty much all you need to know, but ask if you have any questions.

You can expect a full trip report, don't worry.  Smile As far as airfare, the SEA-ORD-EWR-OSL-EWR-SEA fare was around 800 USD, and the OSL-HEL-OSL ticket was around 220 USD. There will probably be a lot more spent to get around (ie rail pass is 200 USD), and I have heard Oslo is a very expensive city. Anyway, it should be great  Smile
