Now I've seen it all.....

First the total sports network started televising spelling bees, then they began showing poker tournaments and pool shoot-outs, then they seemingly went off the deep end and began showing dart throwing.

But now they've hit a brand new low.....I'm channel-surfing during the Pats/Bengals games, I ease over to ESPN, and behold, what appears.....Scrabble  yuck  . Way to attempt to pull viewers from the NFL...

...we'll eagerly anticipate ESPN's coming premiere of "Monopoly".....idiots!...

There's a car auction on right now on ESPN Classic.

Don't forget the showing of some chess; which is enough to put anyone to sleep.

About as much fun as watching the same car race for the fifth time on the Speed Channel.

In all fairness, I believe their airing of MNF a few weeks ago drew the highest ratings ever for a cable channel

You are correct, get that boy a prize. I would guess that they know that they really can't compete with the NFL on Sundays, so get some low budget shows in the time slots.

"Scrabble" Airing On Espn

I remember the old days when there was no ESPN 8 "The Ocho" and they had all the programming. Lo and behold one night I tuned in and they were showing a putt putt golf tournament.

I'm not sure which was worse...showing the event itself or the sad group of folk that followed the players from hole to hole as the gallery.
