...... a portable TV with built in Digital reciever?

The analog TV signal is due to be switched off in a year or twos time, and digital widescreen TVs have been available for years, but you still cant buy a portable with built in digital reciever. WHY????

My TV has seen better days, and is on the way out. Unfortunately it doesnt have a SCART, so I cant even use a box with it to get digital. I would like to replace it with a new TV, but whats the point of buying a tv that will be obsolete in 1-2 years?? I dont want to have to have a digi box lying around taking up space either....

Grrrrrrrr!

So, what else would you love to buy, but just simply cant because it isnt available yet?

I think you can. Do a search for a few major electrical stores.

There's one here.

Just take the badge off. Big grin

They arent classed as "portables" though, hence why they are under "plasma + lcds" rather than "portable TVs".

LCD /Plasmas are far too expensive. £200+ for the ones you linked to, whereas portables are under £80...

As others already said, you can. They are in stores all over the place here in Switzerland, even more when I was in Germany. Probably you're shopping at the wrong places  Smile

Did you check my link? The Bush one is portable and it's only £130.

As regards Why Cant I Buy...

I can't find a decent can opener anywhere. I've gone through 4 in the last few months.

I saw a thread in here about banging a robot, but I cant seem to find one on the internets. I've had a few who acted like robots, but I want the real thing! (preferably female - well, if robots have sexes) Where can I find one?

... a decent pair of scissors? They're either too small, or they don't cut. Oh well...
