Shame - poor guy. His dad, Sol Kerzner, made his start in casinos by opening operations in the South African "homelands" - Sun City was his first, I think. The former homelands had very little options for revenue, and so the first thing they normally did was to legalise gambling (which was illegal in South Africa) and open a casino - a bit like the Native American reservations now. I wonder if he still owns Sun International.

I think the Kerzners are no longer affiliated with Sun International, but when on to operate Kerzner Limited. www.kerzner.com which was rolling out the Atlantis and One&Only brands.
Sad, he was a prominent leader of the international hospitality industry.
