I'd wish for the following: I'd like to be able to go anywhere I want the way I want taking one other person to someone who is glad to welcome, house and feed me at their home.
That way, the world would be my home.
Walk together, talk together all ye peoples of the earth. Then, and only then, shall ye have peace.

Wow... I'd have to think about this one a bit...
It would either be money, or finding that special person AND having her be single (this is one specific person mind you, not a general statement)

You know this is very interesting.
Maybe my reaction belongs in another thread but here it goes:
Some people are going to think greedy (like myself)
Some people are going to try and be worldly and hope for peace, ending world hunger etc.
Some people are going to try something in between.
The thing that I have a problem with in this is that I firmly believe nothing lasts forever.
Ex. Even though my voice and image have been broadcast into the 'heavens' (TV news interview), there is no reason for me to believe that those 'radio' waves will last 'forever'. I think the universe will collapse on itself eventualy and everything (Including those radio waves) will become a singularity resetting the life process for another several trillion years or so.
That being said I would wish the following:
1) No one in my blood line (myself included) could die of natural causes or disease before the 5th birthday of their great grand child (or grand niece/nephew).
2) I wish myself and my family eternal wealth
3) I wish every being that percieves myself and family members percieve us as nothing but intelligent and reasonably giving people.
"Oh, mighty genie! I wish for an infinite number of wishes."

one, and only one wish
No, it does work, unless the genie is a legally prepared to give out free wishes - if the genie doesn't put a disclaimer out, then AsstChiefMark or whoever can wish for infinite wishes. If the genie doesn't comply, then welcome him to (if you live in the US) American justice, tort-style and sue his butt .

Jesus christ! What is this, the effin Ryanair of wish making? What are you going to tell me if I wish to go to NYC for a vacation its really going to send me to Jersey City?
Doors open, right hand side, next stop is Springfield.

Last night I held Aladin's lamp
and so I wished I could stay
Before the thing could answer me
Someone came and took the lamp away
I looked around, a lousy candle's all I found.

You know if I was to ask for instance that I'd like a big house with loads of pretty girls and cars etc... then I'm pretty sure at some point in the future I would get sick of it, and then I'd wish that I had never wished for it in the first place.
So, if I had a Genie I'd just wish only to be happy and self contented. I don't care if I'm rich or poor, but so long as I'm happy throughout life that will do me, wherever life may take me.

You know, I used to think the perfect wish would be a time machine. But I've finally understood there's no point in wondering what would have happened if only I had done this, if only I hadn't said that, if only whatever... Like it or not, the past is gone and I can't change it.
So my wish would be to be happy with my life, take it in the direction I want, not worrying about all things past.
