The Toronto Argonauts eliminated the Eskimos from playoff contention with a 28-25 win Saturday afternoon in Edmonton.

The Eskimos, who won the Grey Cup last season, had qualified for the post-season for 34 straight years, the longest active streak in North American professional sports.

34 straight years of post-season, don't think there anything like it in North American sports. All streaks must come to an end at sometime; (see UCLA 88 game winning streak in basketball). At least the way the Eskimos played this year, getting eliminated early is a good thing. Now build for next season.
