I'm going out to NY, NY to golf on this weekend. Being from San Diego I planned the trip without giving a second thought about weather. Who wants to wager that we will actually be able to golf on one of those days, or am I too late in the season?

Well it depends, October is probably the best month to play here. Where are you playing? At our course on the east end it was a tad breezy but still nice, needed a pullover though. You should be fine.

I'm not sure where we are playing. I fly into Newark and the courses will either be in NY or NJ... I have never played on the east coast so this will be interesting, funny though how the weather wasn't even considered when I made the plans. We just dont think of these things out here.

Do you guys have the diversity of the courses we have out here? I'm assuming the fairways will be nice and lush, I'm assuming alot of trees and water hazards.

We have the best golf courses in the world here! Pine Valley, Garden City Golf, Shinnecock, National Golf Links..These of course are private but there are some awesome public ones as well. You should play the Black course. You may have to wait in your car all night but it's sure worth it.

I just came from NY this past weekend (look for trip report soon). The day before I got there, it was raining, and the day after I left, it rained.

But the 5 days I was there, highs were in the mid 60's. Guess I was just lucky.
