Cottage Cheese: Can It Get Any More Exciting?

I've decided to buy into the benifits of cottage cheese, in terms of the low fat content and high in protein, but I was wondering if there are any ways that you have tried out that could make it a little more exciting. What can you add to it? What do you eat it with?

All ideas are welcomed!

Shut up and calculate.

That or pineapple or cherries.

One manufacturer used to have chocolate too.

A few years ago, I tried leaving it in my basement for a week. When I came back down to check on it, it was very exciting!  biggrin

I like pineapples, peaches, cherries or apple sauce in my cottage cheese.

I was just browsing through the latest issue of "Bon Appetit", and there was a recipe for a cranberry-cheese danish that called for cottage cheese... it sounded delicious!

I usually spoon a half-cup or so on my cereal in the morning (like mini-wheats or bran flakes or granola).... the only thing you have to watch out for with cottage cheese is the sodium content... it has more in it than one would think.

I usually add salt but then that defeats the purpose of eating more healthy. Other than that I eat it plain or with some pineapple.

Leave the cover off for a couple of weeks. That would be exciting.
