It looks like Snoop Dogg got arrested again for trying to smuggle a weapon on board an aircraft. Can't you just see his reaction? "Shizzle! Dis ain't no Colt forty-fizzle. I'm da Soulplane captizzle!"

I don't like him, and think he's a real jackass, but this doesn't seem all that bad. The story doesn't mention any real details of the baton other than it's size. His story is plausable. If he was simply singled out due to his past, that's bullshit. It states they didn't arrest him at the time. Seems to me if it was a threating item, he would have been arrested and booked.

This just once again shows the sheer intelligence of these 'artists' now-a-days, and the number one reason I choose to download their music rather than support their habits.

Contact Winnipeg center now on 134.4, good day.

I was trying to find a reason to download music instead of buying it. HAHA I like this one. Big grin

From the Article:

She said prosecutors had not yet decided whether to charge Snoop Dogg, who was not arrested.

LOL, what other details are there?, Its an extendable 21" baton, i will give it a guess and presume it was black. Same kind ive used at work most probably, he woulda been arrested in the UK no question for this possession.

Ryan

Not sure on law in the US but here you can be prosecuted without arrest, confiscate the item and send his ass to court!

Snoop Dogg, 35, told sheriff's deputies that the baton was a prop for a movie he was filming in New York, Amormino said.

?

Since when do actors carry around their own props?

You go so far as to call them 'artists', then admit to downloading their music...

"It's crap, but I dig it"

Way to take a stand.  sarcastic

Believe it or not, Snoop Dogg isn't trying to hijack commercial airline flights. All signs here point to everyday forgetfulness or ignorance. I suppose that never occured to those of you who have never made a mistake...

Why is that. Just look at what the article has to say about his past...
1990 - Charged with Cocane possession
1993 - Charged with gun possession
1996 - Aquitted of murder
April - Arrested in London for violent disorder, banned from British Airways.

Now he has a collapsable baton in carryon luggage. Begs the question of why it isnt in his checked luggage? Why would he need it, even if it is a movie prop, on his person while travelling?
Good job TSA (doesnt get said by me much) for making sure someone with a history of criminal activity doesnt get a weapon on an aircraft.
