I have just had a phone call of my dad to look on the internet, for any known problems with the Porsche 911 (997) transmission, because he has had a new gearbox, after he was having problems getting it into to gear, but I think there is still a problem.

The thing is I can't find anything on the net, by looking on google.

Does anybody know of any website etc, that list problems like this?

Thanks
Tom.

You may want to check out via Google for websites of fans of such cars. Often they may discuss common problems, issues with dealer work and so on. Some may have posting parts, like here, discussing such issues.

Go to this website:

911registry.org

Virtually every Porsche model has its' own website and registry where memberes can exchange info and help for each other. I'm a member of the 356 registry, since I owned one of these cars many, many years ago.

My first college roommate had a 911. Bigtime problems with the tranny. Something about doing 60 MPH in first and 110 MPH in second. Damn that car was fast.
