Carbon Monoxide I'd bet. Althought natural gas is colorless and odorless, in the states we add a chemical called Mercaptan, that gives it the sulfery rotten egg small. If it were a gas leak, they'd likely have smelled that.
I lost a soldier, his wife and their three children in Wiesbaden in 1983 to Carbon Monoxide. Quite a shame. They went to sleep and just never woke up. That was a horrible scene . . .
Sounds quite likely - I remember a few years back a spate of problems in resorts in Spain with faulty or poorly installed/ventilated gas water heaters.
Horrible story, let's hope they get to the bottom of it quickly.

How very, very sad. May the family Rest in Peace
Quoting 9V (Reply 5): Looks like the poison was ingested.
More that likely unless they find unexplainable bruises, spots or marks like injection marks on the bodies.

First Class passengers are my favourites. They can't get any further forward without an ATPL.

Note that gas (in very small cans) is only used for making (Greek) coffee in Greece, there is no gas distribution except for a very few Athenians.
Seafood or mushrooms could possibly be listed as possible causes.

How very sad. It would also make sense if the deaths were poison related, unfortunately because the children's bodies are smaller they would not have been able to cope with as much as the adults. Tragic

What I can't understand is why the parents didn't go for help. The pathologist said the kids had been dead for around 10 hours. The chalet next door heard a rumpus. I guess time will tell but the toxicology results are going to take 20 days!

Dont even want to know how terrible that must have been.
Sounds like this was poison of some type to me. In warmer climates (??) the houses are usually not well sealed against the elements, and therefore the poisons cant accumulate as rapidly.
Hmm maybe the kids could've gone to bed, died. The parents could be enjoying there family in more way than one, as they thought the children were sleeping they wouldnt have checked in on them at anytime.

According to the BBC, the parents were poisoned as well, and were in a coma. They are currently in hospital. Suspicions over a suicide pact have been raised, though it is probably too early to make any judgment.

Sorry where did you hear this???
BBC just reported on the 10 oclock news that the little girl was found dead in her fathers arms. Also a British plumber is over and investigated the boiler which was found to be leaking a kind of gas.. interesting..
Who is but the form following the function of what, and what I am, is a Woman in a mask..
My guess as well.
There was a family from my town, this past summer, vacationing in Ocean City Maryland, who died the same way. It was discovered that a malfunctioning water heater was leaking carbon monoxide into the room.
My prayers go out to the family.

Yeah thats what I thought - but in hindsight - And we don't know the details yet - It is very possible that Carbon Monoxide is the reason. But in Appts in Greece I have never seen any form of heating appliances ?? The weather looked to be warm and therefore where would the Carbon Monoxide come from?
I would doubt that it was a suicide pact -Why book a holiday to do that ?

Quote from the BBC- "The father of two British children who apparently died from poisoning during a Greek holiday and his partner have both regained consciousness.
But Neil Shepherd and Ruth Beatson, both of W Yorks, have yet to be told of the deaths of Robert Shepherd, six, and sister Christianne, seven.
The coroner in the island of Corfu investigating the two deaths said the cause was possibly a gas leak.
