I am getting the AMD as the manufacturer has run out of 2Ghz things. Also, it's £150 / S$300 cheaper than the P4

Is the 1900 faster? Apparently the 1800 was faster so this should be racing!

If you take your happy little self on over to say http://www.northernlight.com and do yourself a little 90 second search, ala LY744, you could answer your own question, as opposed to asking all of us wonderful users on airliners.net.

£150 is more like 390 Singapore Dollars.

I'm sure you'll be satisfied with your AMD chip.

Apparently the AMD is quicker as it processes things simultaneously instead of one after another!

I have a AMD Athlon in 1.4 ghz in my computer and I would recommend AMD instead of Pentium. The only bad part is that you ned a cooling fan for the AMD with a rotation of atleast 5500 rpm. Trust me, its pretty annoying and loud. Otherwise its great

I would also recommend AMD over Pentium.

I have an AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.2 gHZ. It's sweet  Big thumbs up

Good! Any more comments? The compco actually called me back to say that it could upgrade the 1800+ to a 1900 for just £20 more and it was still £150 less than the P4 anyway!

Good for AMD.

Any reason as to why Intel are so high? Brand?

I love my P4, but it all depends on what you want to do. I hear that the AMD's are a little better for really powerful gaming, but with a computer that fast, it doesn't really matter. I have yet to find anything that won't run seamlessly on my P4  Smile

I see. Well my frame rate on my 120 Mhz with 1MB Graphics card is about 3.8 frames/sec on FS98.

Hopefully that will dramatically increase.

I'm using a AMD Athlon 1600 XP with AV7 motherboard a GF3 64mb videocard and 512mb ram. It is
my 1st AMD and I'm very happy with it. The system is damn fast. I upgraded from a P100mhz!!! with a
2mb videocard and 32mb ram!!! The new one is like driving a F1  Smile/happy/getting dizzy But to be honest if you like to
play games than go for the AMD Athlon!

Best regards

Actually I've found out the 1900 is only £100 cheaper. The 1800 was £150 cheaper. Oh well.

Luxair: Looks like we're coming from the same boat. I have 120Mhz, 1MB Graphics Card and 8MB (updraded to 40MB).  Big thumbs up
