If you take your happy little self on over to say http://www.northernlight.com and do yourself a little 90 second search, ala LY744, you could answer your own question, as opposed to asking all of us wonderful users on airliners.net.

I have a AMD Athlon in 1.4 ghz in my computer and I would recommend AMD instead of Pentium. The only bad part is that you ned a cooling fan for the AMD with a rotation of atleast 5500 rpm. Trust me, its pretty annoying and loud. Otherwise its great

I love my P4, but it all depends on what you want to do. I hear that the AMD's are a little better for really powerful gaming, but with a computer that fast, it doesn't really matter. I have yet to find anything that won't run seamlessly on my P4

I'm using a AMD Athlon 1600 XP with AV7 motherboard a GF3 64mb videocard and 512mb ram. It is
my 1st AMD and I'm very happy with it. The system is damn fast. I upgraded from a P100mhz!!! with a
2mb videocard and 32mb ram!!! The new one is like driving a F1 But to be honest if you like to
play games than go for the AMD Athlon!
