Big snow in CO, fires in CA, meanwhile we are about to drown here in southeast TX. I live on the north side of Houston about 10 miles north of IAH. My rain gauge tell me that we have had just about 6 inches of rain since this morning here at my place. The weather service issued a flash flood warning a few hours ago in part due to the fact it was raining in excess of 4 inches and hour here. They were a tad bit late as my pool had already over- flowed due to the intensity of the rain. The overflow drain could not compete and as such, we had a mini-flood in the sunroom. Hopefully the forecast for tomorrow will hold and as of now it appears that Clear Lake and points south are now under the gun for heavy, prolonged rain.

Man, I wish we had that much rain, albeit it's rainy slightly now. Would do the world of good to us aussies even though some wouldn't like it, what with summer arriving soon.

Central Florida is having a rain deficit, we could use the rain.
The reason I love Florida over EVERY WHERE else I know of in the world is that while in the Summer time it usually rains every day, at least you wake up to the sun rising and you can go watch the sunset. Yeah you get your odd sucky front that will mire you down for a day or two, but those are very much te exception unlike most places I know.

Well if only the doom and gloom forecasters had been right you might have had a few more hurricanes this year. Of course the Hurricanes SUCK in more ways than one this year!
