See, the GOP thinks a constituent going up to his own Senator and asking an "impertinant" question is grounds for physical intimidation. Keep in mind this was not hotel staff attacking him, telling him to leave, it was Allen's own goons.

I would say that Mr. Allen chances of getting the 2008 GOP nomination is less than zero at this point. Perhaps Mr. Allen should go back to reading novels.

Quoting UALPHLCS (Reply 5): Would you all be on the side of the hecklers that threw Oreo Cookies at Michael Steele?
No but of course that never happened. It's right wing fiction.
But really who cares? Steele is getting his oreo ass kicked up one side and down the other by a Dem challenger.

Gee Artie.. I never thought you were one to outright LIE...just twist the truth. Now we have it in Black and white. You Lie when the facts don't fit your outlook.
During the 2002 campaign, Democratic supporters pelted Mr. Steele with Oreo cookies during a gubernatorial debate at Morgan State University in Baltimore.
Quoting MKEdude (Reply 8): Actually, a little correction...The MD Senate seat is an open one. Open because Paul Sarbanes (Democrat) is retiring.

The fact of the matter, at this point the only poll that counts is next Tuesday, which candidate gets his supporters to vote will determine the winner.

I'll leave these boards never to return again if you can back up anthing you say..LOL. And I don't care what a right wing paper owned by Moonies has to say about it.
It's also interesting if you click on the "all polls" button - all the earlier polls show red for Allen, then it switches quite recently to being blue for Webb. It's only be a fairly recent switchover, too.

Charges have been filed against the men who allegedly roughed up a heckler at a George Allen campaign stop.
Mike Stark, a UVA law student, says the men put him in a choke hold and threw him out of the room after he asked Allen about a rumor that the senator had spit on his first wife.
Now, Stark is demanding legal action. Stark says, "He's been quoted as saying these things happen in campaigns. These things happen in campaigns? These things happen in third world countries."
Allen's campaign is defending their actions, saying stark was being aggressive and asking "inappropriate questions."

#1. That punk had previously stated in his blog that he was intent in causing an incident with Allen. He's lucky he did not do that in Roanoke or some other good ol' boy county, 'casue they would've booted his face in and the Sheriff would've just stood by and said "....he asked for it".
#2. Let's not forget that in the VA primary, Jim Webb produced and mailed a cartoon of his Jewish opponent depicting him with a long nose and money coming out of his pockets, calling him the ‘anti-Christ of outsourcing’. His Democrat opponent, and the Democratic Leadership, rightly condemned this anti-Semitic ploy.
Jim Webb....not good for Virginia.
MODS CAN'T STOP ME....THEY CAN ONLY HOPE TO CONTAIN ME!!!
George Allen is a Stars-and-Bars Presbyterian. Remember what he said in September: "I still had a ham sandwich for lunch. And my mother made great pork chops."

This guy seriously needs to drop this issue. Just by watching the video it's clear that he was aggressivly provocing an incident. His blog makes it clear it was premeditated. He could very quickly find himself charged with disorderly conduct if not inciting a riot.
