Before I even start, no I'm NOT a ultra-leftwing-hippie-liberal.

Is there any one else that make there own infant/baby food? For Marcus (5 months old today) we do, since you never what kind of perservatives and other stuff they put in baby food, we do feed him store bought baby formula and pourage.

We usaly mix diffrent kinds of vegtables in the blender, soon time to start with meat! (Baby boys need meat to grove strong  Wink)

Any body else doing this?

My mother made all my baby food and I think it's a better way of doing it.
I have seen some of those jars you can get in the supermarket and they look artificial.

Happy -go- lucky kinda guy!

We used to use jars with the latest baby but started to make our own dinners with the blender as you do. For a start it's healthier, secondly it's cheaper and thirdly, they seem to enjoy it more!

Congrats on your boy too.  Wink

I think LHMark recently started taking a class in baby food making. It's on Thursdays between his at 1:30 yoga class and his 4:30 kegel exercise session.

I don't have kids, but if I do one day, they'll get what I got, Gerber baby food from the jar. Hell, I still like the taste of some of that stuff. They will also drink tap water, as I do.

What pretty much all of my family has been brought up on is home made. Basically as we dish the main meal up for adults, some of the softer foods are popped into a bowl and then put in a liquidiser, which is then served up to the baby at the table so they can eat with us, as well as the same food.

When my daughter (now 21) was old enough, I gave her whatever we were having...after putting it through the blender. This is where she got her love of curry and rich sauces.

Do you enjoy the feeling of the wet peach juice running down your leg?
