I have been meaning to start a thread on the WWF, but have been to lazy. Pro Wrestling has evolved into "Sports Entertainment". To those who say its "soooo fake", there is no doubt it is scripted and all, and the moves are done in a manor that inflict as little damage and pain as possible, BUT, the moves DO hurt, and a wrestlers body takes a beating working over 200 nights a year. Add in the travel and everything. Damn. The athletisizm involved in wrestling is comparable to any major sport. On top of that to be successful, you have to have not only a great ring presence, be athletic, be able to perform with other people so you don't kill each other, you have to have a great personality. KNow how to deliever lines, add lib, react to crowds, and work the crowds. Wrestling is scripted, but it is far from fake. I see it for what it is. Entertainment, and yes KROC fans...It entertains the hell out of me. If ya smelllllalalalalalaowwwwwww what the KROC is cooking!!!!!

They do have to be great athletes with great coordination and intelligence. A moron could not learn those moves and excute them as they do. The moves do hurt, but not like they should if it wasn't scripted. That's why we see certain teenage idiots trying to recreate the WWF in their back yard and end up sending their friends to the Hospital.
I guess I enjoyed it when the entertainment was the match itself instead of all the peripheral events.

My take on backyard wrestling. If your not smart enough to know that Pro Wrestlers are TRAINED PROFESSIONALS, you deserve to be sent to the hospital. THey outta take your ass straight to the wacko ward. If the kids are young, the parents should be smart enough to teach there kids that wrestling is a trained sport that you cannot just do to your friend or little sibling.

Is anyone going to Wrestlemania in March? It's to be held at Skydome (Toronto) and they're trying to set the attendance record. I couldn't believe the ringside seats were going for $600+! Geez... I had the chance to buy the tickets for a friend of mine before they went on sale publicly. Needless to say, he's jumping for joy everyday. Oh, it cost him $300.

I'm a quite large fan of the WWF, let me rephrase that. I am an averaged size fan of the WWF. It's fun to watch, but there is no doubt it is all rehearsed. However, they seem a little too desperate for viewers these days. Regal kissed McMahons ass in the Ring!!! Sick really, but these guys will do anything for attention, and of course they get well payed for it.
It's a shame they don't broadcast it in Norway, but I fortunatly have someone recording and sending it to me from the UK.

My good friend here is friends with Booker T, and Book gave him 4 tickets As for Thom@s' opinion that the WWF is doing anything for attention or views these days, that might be mildly accurate, but not too much. While ratings have been up and down, do too heavy competition form Monday Night Football and on Thursday Friends and Survivor, the WWF's storylines were getting weaker and weaker. The WWF is trying to spice up the storylines, and seem to be returning to more along the lines of the "WWF Attitude" era, when they were at there peak in popularity. No matter what, I will be a faithful viewer. I love it!
