MSN, but atm I'm stuck with using "Trillian" which is a web based version of msn. Its ok, but far from great, my University have blocked msn from running, so its all I have to keep in touch with mates.

I use both, and both have their advantages and disadvantages. However, more people I know use AIM, so I have a much larger buddy list there than on MSN.

Neither. I call if it's urgent, and if it's not, e-mail will do. I have/had MSN, I'm not sure if they delete the account after a certain period of inactivity.

Trillian allows you to be on multiple instant messenger formats in one program. You can even be logged into two MSN messengers at the same time, which is great for freaking people out.

neither of them. They are both crap. I use ICq although it is crap as well

There is one problem with airbus. Though their products are engineering marvels they lack passion, completely.

Most people will use whatever their friends are using!

MSN is by far the most popular in Europe for some reason. Very few people use AIM.

I think in the US it is the other way around?

Anyway I use msn because I had a hotmail account with them long before Messenger existed.

I hate AIM, but I use it because the majority of my friends use it. I love MSN, even more so because I can use it to talk to the even fewer contacts I have that use Yahoo.
