Welcome to our little report from the “Mini Manchester 06 Meet”. This meet was just a get together for us three... Turned out to be a rather humorous day!
My day started off leaving Barnetby at 05:45 to travel to Rochdale to pick fellow anetter, Daleaholic up... After battling through the morning traffic, I managed to make his house for 06:15, 15 minutes earlier then planned. We then set off for MYT332’s house.
We arrived into Chorley around 08:00 where we were greeted by Alex and his family, served with hot tea and toast on arrival! After Alex was ready he took us to the “legendry” Train spotters Bridge...

We then left for Daz’s (Dazultra) house where Alex could pick up some charged batteries for his camera, and also use the shithouse..
We then headed off to the Southside of MAN, 24L and setup the chairs, camera’s and binoculars!
Prince Charles paid a visit..

After sitting in the freezing cold for a few house we decided to make a move round to the airport pub for a drink and to shoot some arrivals. Needless to say the drink was flowing and the arrivals didn’t happen!

WILCO737 paid us a visit..
We then headed off for lunch at the Romper, near the viewing park. Joined now by the one and only Dazultra.. Dinner was served in the forms of Scampi and Chips (x2), Goats Cheese with some pasta crap, and a Aberdeen Angus Burger with Chips!

We then headed over to the AVP to watch the sun draw the close of the day and fade away.. Alex and Daz watching the grass grow..

Thanking myself that I wasn’t going home in the other direction the traffic was solid for about 15 miles!!!!!

The opening photo: I was mid way keeling over in mong like laughter as this was the second attempt at the photo and the camera was on self timer, I just lost it. Damn it.

I had thought of coming up to MAN but being half-term weekend all flights were either full or the fares were very expensive. It would have been worth it though to see WILCO737 in an Airbus!!
