Well..The ATL Mini-Meet has started and the police and national guard are on high alert!
..Falcon is actually a real person...I've now met him and he's not a bad guy.....still terribly wrong in his liberalism ( ) but not a bad guy...
We had supper at Downwind Cafe over at PDK and spent a couple hours talking politics and trading stories.
We will be at the Falcons - Browns game tomorrow......anyone wanting to meet for breakfast at the tailgating prior to the game should IM me or call.....I'll be riding MARTA ('cause it's SMARTA!) down there.

Not a "bad guy"? Gee, thanks Ian! Actually, I'll take it as a compliment.
Seriously, Ian is an entertaining guy, and had lots of good stories to tell over dinner, and I appreciate his hospitality. The dinner, of calamari and Shrimp, was most excellent, and I owe him one.
And our political conversations were most civil, dispelling the notion that I'm some sort of crazed left-wing nut.
I'll definitely have to make another trip down here to shoot the breeze with him.....even if his terribly wrong conservatism does get under my skin.

And in a totally unrelated situation, just after meeting him, the song on the radio playing when you turned on your car, I heard was "The Devil Went Down To Georgia"
I've heard another term for the MARTA that well, isn't politically correct.

That's because neither of you had a computer screen to hide behind, and this would apply to 99% of people (that they are more friendly in discussion in person than on a computer).

Than you should plan to come down a few weeks earlier in the year when Six Flags over Georgia is still open. You missed being able to go to Six Flags by just under two weeks. I hear their newest coaster Goliath is pretty sweet (though still probably weak compared to the coasters at Cedar Point )

Oh, and here I thought you two were going to see a professional football game.
Watch it there buddy.....the Falcons are my hometown team and I'll have to say 'watch it' again if you keep that up!

"Moving Americans Rapidly Through Atlanta"?

The good news is that most everyone who has met me in person will say that I'm pretty much the same in person that I am online......what you read is what you get.....
Quoting 767Lover (Reply 4): Really, Ian, your wife must be a saint...2 "A.net" weekends in a row?
Hell, you knew she was a saint when she married me.....speaking of which...how's that working for you so far?
Quoting 767Lover (Reply 4): Seriously, though--glad you enjoyed the Downwind Falcon...great place. And welcome to "The ATL!"
You should have come out...
Quoting JGPH1A (Reply 6): Damn. And here we were all hoping he was some kind of figment of the imagination !
No such luck..... BTW....I'll see you, if you're in town, in about three weeks.....

Thought it was 2 weeks - either way, it's in the busy social schedule. I have to go to Stockholm around then, but it's in the week, I'll back at the weekend, for sure.

It's a hyphenated-American instead of just American. I'm sure you can figure it out.

The Big Chicken is at Code Red awaiting his arrival in Marietta. He won't be allowed to spout his liberal beliefs anywhre near it.
Seriously though Falcon, if you want a good political discussion with other libs head down to Manuel's Tavern. That's where your type hang out.

AARRGHHH!!!
The refs, the receivers, the QB, and the crappy fans all played their part in this rolling cluster of a game....the Falcons won every category except for the important one...points scored! Damnit....we needed to win the easy ones...
That was a safety, and we did recover that fumble, and there was no interference.......

He did kind of have a blank look on his face at halftime.
Quoting DL021 (Reply 15): That was a safety, and we did recover that fumble, and there was no interference.......
1. I agree it was a safety; 2. Are you talking about the multi-lateral fumble? and 3. Only interference I saw is when Jenkins climbed the DB's back.
Best moments were when, as the first half ran out, Browns QB Charlie Frye fumbled, which started a Keystone Cops lateral parade, and the Falcons actually damn near scored. But what was funny was Ian screaming at the top of his lungs, "JESUS CHRIST, RUN!" with this crazed look in his eye. It was classic!
Next one was the drunks screaming "Interference" on the Browns when the Browns DB actually was in FRONT of Jenkins, and Jenkins climbed his back. And then there were the two drunks in front of us-Ian told them to settle down before one of them fell into the lower deck.
But it was a good time-although I think I enjoyed the game a little more than DLO21, but we had a good time.
Ian, you're a good man, a good host, and I'm damn glad I got to get down there and see you. Thanks again for dinner and the tickets. It was well worth the trip.

Seriously, I was pulling for Falcon's Browns.. Vick's non-big-game let me pull out a squeaker Fantasy Game today.. 7-3 now for the year!
Next time the Brown's invade Nashville, you're my guest, Falcon... WN flys here cheap... and apparently, with the number of Purple jerseys in the stands today, they do so cheaply from BWI too...
Did you know Taylor Swift has a STAR to BNA named after her? No, I'm not kidding.

I would gladly accept, and for the record, COEX flies CLE-BNA.

Yes.. you are right... in fact, a month or so ago I was waiting on a Flight Express plane and was listening to BNA's ATC, they were provisioning a COEX flight with priority to 2L. Why? Fuel Issues! Hope they put more on board when you come.. 'cause the invitation is extended!! 45 Yard-line ok?
